i play quest all the time, as im sure a lot of other people enjoy quest mode. one thing that bugs me though, is why so many quest opponent's decks do not reflect the opponent whatsoever.
one example is STORM: now, im not sure if you all know who storm is, but she's an x-man that controls lightning, wind, and rain. her deck on the other hand is creatures w/ lifelink. WHAT! how is that storm?
another example is NED FLANDERS: he is a black reanimator deck. now, ned flanders on the cartoon is a god-fearing goody goody. how bout a mono-white wrath of god or armageddon weenie deck?
bart simpson is an example of a good choice of a deck for an opponent. that deck is totally bart simpson.

hey just a suggestion

Rares did the original quest mode. He put together several decks and could not come up with original sounding deck names. He just used the first popular type names that he could come up with.

This naming system continued with the additional decks that were added. When we added the ability to display an opponent's picture we used google images to match these popular sounding names.

It is sort of a cop out we admit. Other parts of the development process can so consume us that we run out of steam when it comes to naming quest decks.

In a perfect world, we would come up with original fantasy type names and create original fantasy type pictures. This would require some people with the proper creative talents to join the dev team.

Sloth and I spent several months last year adding new decks and revising existing quest decks. We had a lot of fun. He and I are fairly busy at this time helping Sol with the new Ability Factory project and it will likely preoccupy the core dev team for the time being.

If you and/or other people would like to spend some time helping with the quest decks, it would be appreciated. Unfortunately, the core dev team will not be able to spend a lot of time overseeing your efforts.

I would suggest that anyone who is interested should initially assist Lazylockie in the fetchlands project. A link to that topic is located below.

There are several topics located in the Forge Decks Forum. These topics have info that may be useful in creating AI decks for quest mode. Feel free to read the messages in these topics.

The Quest decks revamp topic is worth reading. Lazylockie discovered that the AI can now use fetchlands. He added fetchlands to a number of the existing quest decks and he attached an archive for people.
