I edited the first message and tried to update some of the material. I can not promise to make frequent updates to this topic. I hope that my edits will help newcomers to quickly get up to speed. :)

Maybe in long past versions of Forge it was the case, but in current version the information in the 1st post is wrong regarding where you need to put the images, it is not anymore in \res\pics\ (some mods should update the 1st post)

All the set images folders must go to
( instead of C:\ of course it will be your main drive letter)

C:\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\Local\Forge\Cache\pics\cards\
or
C:\Users\<yourusername>\Application Data\Roaming\Forge\Cache\pics\cards\
or
C:\Documents and Settings\<yourusername>\Application Data\Forge\Cache\pics\cards\
(depending on which version of window you're using)

For Mac it should be something like
<your home directory>/Library/Application Support/Forge/Cache/pics/cards/

By example here's what my ....\Cache\pics\cards\ directory looks like :
Image
each subfolder contains the images of the corresponding set.

Additionally, you can download the LQ cards images through the Forge content downloader menu, it will install them automatically where they need to be (i'm not sure the package on the 1st post of this thread is up to date)

Someone should fix the first post. As a newcomer, i can tell you that this site is a mess. Finding what i need is very difficult, even just knowing what i need is difficult.

I used the content downloader, it took hours and skipped hundreds from what it's saying. Had to restart it a couple of times coz it seemed to get stuck.

I hope i can finally start playing.

Usually the downloader saying it's skipping items means that those images are not yet actually available on the server it's downloading from, while those cards exist in the game.

So, 1.5.30 is here, what's the update process?
Should i just download it manually, unpack and crush the 1.5.29 version?
Will i then have to re-download all the content?

For the regular Forge 1.29 directory, you can just delete it and replace it with the newly downloaded Forge 1.30

Your previously downloaded card/deck content will still stay where it is in your user/appdata/whatever directory and will not be removed when you'll delete 1.29

Hi,
Love the program, but having issues displaying card images.
I downloaded the HQ image packs, and unpacked them to \AppData\Local\Forge\Cache\pics\cards\.
The images don't display in anything that i've seen (tried deck editor, drafts, sealed)

Help?
Thanks,
DarthLuke

Are the pics showing as NameOfCard.full.jpg? If not, then that could be the issue.

Okay,
not all of them were .full.jpg, and im not feeling like doing it manually. Downloaded the LQ pics via Forge Downloader, but still missing quite a number of pictures, mostly from newer sets. Is the database incomplete. (And sorry if this is the wrong place for this)

If you're not strapped for storage space, go to the pictures forum, where you should be able to find a torrent link that will get you hq quality pics up through OGW, I think. If you do have an issue with storage space, then the LQ set download button in Forge will get you up to within a few sets, with posts in the LQ pics thread here that should get you the rest of the way.

If renaming *.full.jpg is a problem you can do it easily in the cmd console.
Navigate to the folder.
"ren *.jpg *.full.jpg"
Done.

Didn't think of doing that. Thanks Xitax.

Files also can't have underscores. Had to get rid of those too.
