How do I properly update the osx version of forge?

When I do the install I think it completely wiped out my old files so all the card graphics, deck etc are all gone. Is there an update instruction for osx version? If not then will the win/linux version running .sh allow me just to replace the program not the rest of the data?

Unfortunately there is not a good way to do this. The OSX version does not use the normal user-friendly directories to store user info (/Library/Application Support/Forge). It keeps user data in the .app itself. You can open up the .app by right-clicking Forge and selecting "Show Package Contents". Hopefully we can add the feature to use user directories.

Here is a launcher for Mac OS. It is a command file. Download, unpack the archive and place the command file into the folder containing the Windows/*nix version of forge.

Load the command file into TextEdit. You will have to replace this text "run-forge.jar" in the command file with the jar file name found in the forge archive. Save the file.

You should now be able to run forge by double clicking the command file.

forge.tar.bz2
