Forge Token images

Postby moomarc » 01 Sep 2011, 11:48

Many new users seem to struggle to find all the token images used in Forge, and if they find the links to download them, they don't know how to rename them so that they're recognised in-game.

I've uploaded my LQ tokens folder to my MediaFire account, so just extract the contents directly into the res\pics\tokens folder.

Download here. (10.5 MB)

It does include some duplicate images so users can just select which image to use by renaming the files. Might also come in handy if Forge ever supports multiple images for the same token. Includes some tokens not yet supported by Forge but uses the correct naming so should be used automatically when it does become available.

Mirrors:
Zip format at Cardforge.org (10.5 MB)

Edit 1: Updated to include insect token generated by Hornet Queen.

Thanks Chris. I'll add any mirrors to the first post if anyone does put it up.

http://cardforge.org/fpics/tokens.zip

BTW, if at any point you want to throw together generic tokens like you did for some of the pets, that would be spectacular...

Thanks for the mirror link. With regards to the token images, first I need to finish the pet token then I'll move onto other generic tokens. But it'll be a while still as the artwork there is intricate and takes long trying to do it between RL jobs.

#-o Just realized that I was being daft. Even the free account has unlimited downloads it appears, so I've edited the first post to remove the warning that it would be capped fairly quickly.

On a side note, the only pet tokens included in this package are the new plant wall pet images I created. I'll add the other new ones when they're eventually done. So for now should I add the older images for the other pets so all the tokens can be grabbed in one download?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but you said to extract the files to res\pics\tokens, but I don't have tokens file. The only file I see is images.

When you extract the Forge beta archive, in the res folder is an 'images' folder as well as a 'pics' folder. In the pics folder will be an empty 'tokens' folder. Extract the archive from this thread into there.

I've updated the archive to include the g_1_1_insect_deathtouch token generated by Hornet Queen (Commander).

@Rob Cashwalker: Would you mind updating the zip you're hosting on cardforge with this one? I just used a zip this time as I wasn't needlessly concerned about the size, so it's just a straight copy.

Unfortunently, this doesn't seem to be the case for me. The only folder in my pics folder is one labeled 'icons'.

I'm not entirely sure how that happened. It's definitely the correct folder, so if it's not there, then just create a new folder called tokens and extract the images into that.

Hi,

In the last alphas I can't see the token images in play. I have kept my tokens images in the res/pics/tokens folder (as it reads in the readme.txt file)
am I doing something wrong or it's normal because of recent changes?

Thanks in advance

P.S: thank you very much for adding Yawmoth's Will I was looking forward to playing with this card indeed, and of course the adding of doubled faced cards is really appreciate :D.
