Forge Beta: 10-17-2011 ver 1.1.6 rev 11243

9383 cards in total.


Every expansion and set included in forge is now at least 70% complete.

The maximum size for a card displayed on the battlefield is now set using the New Game menu command "Specify Max CardSize". Added icons that will be drawn over the cards in the battlefield for phasing and counters. The attack/block/phasing icons and counters will now also be shown on large cards, only casting cost will be omitted. Lands and tokens with different amounts/types of counters will no longer stack. Tokens with different summoning sickness will no longer stack. Lands that become creatures will now always be moved to the front row.


We have changed the archiving format to ".tar.bz2". There are utilities for Windows, Mac OS and the various *nix's that can be used to decompress these archives.


The Mac OS application version:

We have packaged the Forge 10-17-2011 BETA version as a Mac OS application. You can double click the Forge.app icon to launch the forge application on your Apple computer running Mac OS. This application will automatically increase the java heap space memory for you as it launches. This version does not require the forge.command file and it does not need to start the Terminal application as part of the start up process.

You can move a copy of your pictures and decks over to the Forge.app application. Right click or control click on the Forge.app icon. Select Show Package Contents form the contextual menu. A Finder window will open and will display a folder named Contents. Navigate to the folder:

/Contents/Resources/Java/res/

Your decks can be placed in the decks folder, your pics can be placed in the pics folder, etc.

WOW! :shock: That's the most impressive list of added cards I've seen for a while! And congrats on hitting the sets GE 70% milestone! =D>

That's a really great list of new cards! I'm especially pleased to see Lat-Nam's Legacy - when I went on my card-scripting binge a while back, that was the first one I tried. I thought it would be easy. I was so very, very wrong.

I'll start kicking the tires on this version ASAP!

Ancestral Knowledge puts the non-exiled cards on the *bottom* of your library, not the top.

The script looks fine with LibraryPosition$ 0. The bottom would be -1.

. Barrel Down Sokenzan is supposed to deal damage equal to twice the number of lands returned to your hand, but it's only dealing damage equal to that number. E.g., cast BDS, return 3 lands - that should deal 6 damage, but it only deals 3. The "/Times.2" part of the calculation doesn't seem to be working.

Is this a joke? Read the card again.
Nope - I mean the card is supposed to put them on top, but in Forge 1.1.6, it's putting them on the bottom instead. Sorry, I realize my phrasing was ambiguous and could be parsed either way.

Awesome release - I have to say especially for the card max sizing, tokens, icons, and fixing the annoying foil problem. Thanks again!

kudos for the hard job team and thanks alot for supporting and updating our game. I have spotted a strange bug where if you have played Joiner Adept and then somehow leaves play, some lands like Etherflame Palace , Graypelt Refuge and Savage Lands cannot be tapped for mana.

9383 cards! Incredible guys. Great work. Thank you for the effort and devotion you commit to this project. I don't think you are thanked enough. Forge, because of its versatility and expansiveness, has become the only MTG game I play now. I've also managed to get a few friends and co-workers hooked on it.

Who would've thought a couple years ago that you guys would've reached this milestone of 70% for every set? Where this project has gone over the past year or so has truly put it on top. I commented to a couple friends the other day, that I thought that at the rate Forge was going, it would hit 10,000 unique cards by the end of the Innistrad block.

The forums are great. There are always new decks to tinker with and every question and card request that seems to be asked is replied to and considered. Again, thank you guys for everything you do.
