I assume this is a bug...when faced with no creatures that are safe to attack with, 1 card in hand and no land the computer goes into "Computer thinking" mode during its second main phase and never comes out again...the loop needs to end after a time limit otherwise it could literally loop forever. Basic programming 101...end your loops.

no timing involved, no loops either. This is a logic problem and will need a debug session to figure out. Functional testing 101: don't assume you know the cause of a defect.

So apparently the program has a brand new way to cheat...or rather I never caught it doing this before. It runs more than the maximum of 4 cards in its decks. This happened during a draft. Now I realize that the AI is not strictly by the book to begin with but this is a real basic part of the game.

Hmmm turns out that it was some very strange display glitch. Though it involved the computer tapping out for 7 turns in a row to play the same creature each turn. I finally managed to kill one and all the others disappeared. of the seven cards only 3 went to the graveyard...the rest disappeared into oblivion. If they were really all there, only one should have perished.

I'm not sure it's exactly a cheat.... I think in Limited, the 4-of rule doesn't apply.... But in general, I know MTGForge doesn't check for deck legality... I've thrown together a deck with 12-ofs to test a certain card interactions.

No. the rule of 4 always applies. I may not be the best player ever but I played enough serious limited tournaments to know the basic rules. :D

Gando, did that creature that showed up more than 4 times have flash?
Because that is a known bug, that creatures with flash get recast at the start of each of the AI's next turns until you kill the original.
Just my thought on this.
](*,) = coder at work, according to a coder. It does explain some of the bugs.

Known to whom? Yes that is what happened. It was a Vine Dryad and it took me a bit of time to kill it as I needed my third pinger and he never blocked with it.

Known to me and Forge at least.
I e-mailed him about this a while ago and thought I mentioned it here too. Apparently, I did not. Sorry.
 What the??? Oh, unglued probably.
(I just previewed this post, and saw "sorry" highlighted. Never knew there was a card named "sorry".)
Did I just take 4 damage?

Could you expand on that thought? I've been attacked by unblockables... and couldn't select any blocker.

Woops I see what happened...somehow the
Jhessian Infiltrator
U G
Creature Human Rogue
no text
2/2
Unblockable <===keyword

got lost in translation when I transfered the changes to Cards.txt from the old version to the new. (This is one thing I really dislike about MTG Forge...having to reupdate every version with corrections to Cards.txt, and the frequence txt files. Very time consuming and tedious and error prone.
