Forge Memory Usage

When I run forge it often uses between 500mb to 1gb of RAM, just wondering if this is the same for everyone or if it's just me, it seems like a lot of memory for just one program.

Yes, when Forge starts to slow down I noticed it was using over 1g of memory - OSX 10.6.7 Forge version 1.2.0

Just FYI my memory use between the old UI and the new showed the old using about 250 MB and the new using 320 MB (first game, before a long session, before memory leaks showing up).

I am using a 1.2.1 snapshot with HQ cards and forge needs about 600MB directly after it started and about 100MB for every game I play (so every game adds another 100MB to the used memory; that is a nice memory leak there ^^).

All versions I've used, this has been for a few weeks now, it was bad before the new UI was implemented, but now it's so much worse, I've used at least 4 versions since then, most recent was 09/01/2012 on windows 7.

A lot of time and effort have gone into fixing the memory leak problems that were recently noticed and reported to the dev team. Doublestrike and Slapshot deserve our applause and we are very thankful. People should be able to now play long multi match sessions without noticing slow downs and pauses.

We have a new snapshot build for our testers to try out this weekend. We would appreciate any responses from our testers in reference to the old memory leak plus slowdown issues. If things are now better please let us know. :)
