Quest Opponents

So in playing quest mode, what ive noticed is that all of the quest opponents just have the best possible support cards including original dual lands and such. Would it be possible to see opponents in quest mode that are a little more balanced than ridiculous legacy decks? Like after winning a few times, all you see are hard level opponents which are pretty much impossible to beat. Since the only ways of obtaining cards is by chance, its hard to obtain duplicate copies of good cards making it nearly impossible to create a good deck. Am i just doing it wrong?

I had a bit of trouble in quest mode too, until I learned how powerful Infect decks are. Just start quest mode with a standard type starting pool, put together a deck with the most infect stuff you can get while not exceeding 2 or 3 colors. Add enchantments, equipments and instants of the chosen colors that boost your creatures.
This should be good enough to easily win versus the early opponents, and rake in bonus money due to the alternate win condition.
Select only standard type boosters as rewards for a while, as they will often yield new infect creatures or other stuff for your deck.
Use the money you get to either get your pet (hound!) and plant leveled up, or, if you find something useful for your deck in the shop, buy it.

Once the enemies get harder, you maybe won't be guaranteed to win anymore, but if you play with ante (which I strongly recommend) you have the chance of winning some of their uber cards.

It is also possible to modify the quest.preferences file to increase the amount of wins it takes to raise your level.
