Last Known Information Fail.
by NoctisIncendia » 08 Feb 2012, 11:32
So I noticed that spells and abilities that rely on last known information don't work properly.
Excerpt from 608.2g
If the effect requires information from a specific object, including the source of the ability itself or a target that’s become illegal, the effect uses the current information of that object if it’s in the public zone it was expected to be in; if it’s no longer in that zone, or if the effect has moved it from a public zone to a hidden zone, the effect uses the object’s last known information.
However, Forge currently uses whatever is printed on the card instead of checking its last existence on the battlefield. For example, sacrificing a Howlpack of Estwald to Fling only yields two damage, sacrificing a Gravecrawler equipped with Accorder's Shield to Feed the Pack only yields one token, and Unhallowed Cathar continuously returns from the graveyard at the end of turn.
I don't suppose anyone could take a shot at fixing this?

Yes, LKI has gone back and forth from a working state to non-working state, depending on lots of factors. Please post bugs in the beta that you are using or in the current known bugs thread.

Ha, i fixed this very matter just yesterday. Grab the latest snapshot build here: http://cardforge.org/releases/snapshots/forge/forge/NoctisIncendia wrote:So I noticed that spells and abilities that rely on last known information don't work properly.

Note: last known information is still not applied everywhere in forge though. Like so many other things this is a work in progress.
