All the phases are controlled by the Phase object. Usually the method nextPhase() is called which advances to the next phase. Phase object is pretty messy and I'm not sure how to fix it in the current version of MTG Forge. InputControl is very messy and it selects the correct Input object that handles the mouse input according to what phase it is. I think if more phases were added to the Phase object that InputControl would have to be updated also.
The reason the code is so messy was to just get something working.
