CardForge is acting strangely for me.

Here is, step-by-step, the process by which I play Forge:
I extract my 11-14 Forge.zip file to my games folder, and I double-click the application 'run-forge'.
I play ONE game, after choosing a deck for the computer and I. After this one game, if I don't choose to restart the game and instead quit for a new game, it will not let me play another game with the computer. I select the mode, hit 'New Game', and a large ERROR screen pops up, (complete with red circle with an 'X' inside of it, and all.).
If I delete the folder and extract it back again, it runs perfectly. For one entire game. I don't think I have the correct version of the game, which is terrible because I like THIS MTG emulator the best, but I don't know what I have to do to extract .tar.bz2 files. Would somebody be willing to lend me a hand regarding this? It would be greatly appreciated.
Again, thank you for any and all help.
- Sincerely, Arthur Rimbaud
