Either the current Beta Version: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=8047
or the current Snapshot: http://cardforge.org/releases/snapshots ... -SNAPSHOT/ (.tar.bz2 for Win users, -osx.tar.bz2 for Mac users)

For getting the hang of the game, the beta is by far the better choice. The snapshot build can contain code that is broken or not quite complete. (...plus the latest goodies, granted...but the beta will too, eventually, in a slightly more stable package.)

Well. As far as I know, the Beta has some flaws, too, which were fixed with the snapshot builds. Then again, other problems may occur.
I prefer the snapshot build - but it may be only my preferences since I am active following the bugs and post decks which I would like to encounter ingame ;)

For someone just starting out, they should definitely grab the beta builds.

The easiest way for a new person would be to click on the link to the forge wiki. There is a link at the top of this wiki page to the SlightlyMagic forum topic for the most recent beta build.

This will also expose people to the SlightlyMagic Forge forum. With time people will become more experienced with the forge forum and may try out the daily snapshot builds.

We have also started a User Guide at the wiki and with time we hope that the more experienced members of the user base will add more content to the User Guide. :)
