What, exactly, is the difference?mark-t wrote:It was meant in jest. I originally wrote it with a smiley, but the forum converted it into an emoticon, and I hate those, so I removed it.

One is displayed precisely how I intended, whereas the other is an ugly yellow image inserted in the middle of smaller black text and doesn't even match the emotion I intended to convey. If I wanted that, I would do the markup myself.MageKing17 wrote:What, exactly, is the difference?mark-t wrote:It was meant in jest. So I take it you didn't notice the "Disable smilies" checkbox below the submit button? ;Pmark-t wrote:One is displayed precisely how I intended, whereas the other is an ugly yellow image inserted in the middle of smaller black text and doesn't even match the emotion I intended to convey. Nah, I looked around for it but didn't see it because it was below the fold. I figured it had to be somewhere, but I couldn't really be bothered to hunt it down. I expected it to be over by the images and the list of things that are turned on and off (why would it be anywhere else?). I did see it when I posted my last response, though.
