I won't say that this will be a comprehensive list of all Magic programs, but it will be at least a few interesting ones. Feel free to post other Magic programs that you find.

Play Magic over the Internet with the rules:
Incantus - nice user interface, uses Python
Firemox - uses XML for cards, uses Java

Play Magic over the Internet, the rules are not enforced:
OCTGN
Magic Workstation
Apprentice

Play against the computer:
Wagic - designed for PSP but also runs on Windows (you have to use the keyboard), Windows Download 16 MB
Deckbot- text based but has good AI, let's you play AI vs AI, download 1 MB
Magma - partially in Italian, Windows Download 5 MB

Other:
Magic Set Editor - create you own nice looking custom cards

Is anyone still supporting/Distributing Apprentice 32? I used to have a cardmaker application for that but that was on a long dead machine. Without the appropriate set files the program is of limited use. (I still have an installation of it on this machine but I haven't gone looking for an update in some time. E-league.com used to maintain the updates but I don't think they are still around.

==edit== oh and I dont think I EVER got a working Workstation. lol.

http://magic-league.com/ runs online events with Apprentice and Magic Workstation, but Apprentice only has cards up to Eventide.

Wagic has been updated to version 0.6.0 (the windows version as well) and now has more than 1600 "official" cards.
