Forge total buggy
by jacksonjack » 06 Feb 2013, 16:57
Sorry to bring this up, but I am so furious after that giant battle of over 2 hours of a magic the gathering game against AI, unbelievable down to 1 for like trizillian turns, and technically killed with a creature at least 7 times, still no go, then I bring in the big guns, am at FIFTEEEN POINTS against ONE POINT. I attached a screenshot, sadly can't copy the game log (perhaps if someone told me where it is buried in data I might). And be aware that screen shows I lost twice (the last in this game), but only lost once and won once, and the screenshot shows the final game, putting me down as lost, I mean jesus-fing-christ, this is like iRobot with the literal ghost in the machine, jesus.

As I see on that picture, you came to your draw step with empty library. That's a solid reason for game loss (rule 104.3c)
I guess game end reason should be typed on the Win/Lose screen

Thank you so much Max!!
There's a lot to learn everyday from that game, I am glad it wasn't a bug, although I must say there are things in the game which aren't working very well, like playing a certain speciality of a card which lies in the graveyard, but is possible and legal to play from there, it won't let you.
Also when I played in that game with the card of (can't remember the name), where you drew one card and if it is a creature, you take its power minus one and that will be the damage of any source to any creature you control.

Please post bugs in the thread of the release and be as specific as possible. As for cards with abilities that activate outside of your hand/battlefield, you can find them in the icon that looks like a Lightning Bolt. We generally call it the "Flashback button" even though more than just Flashback cards can be activated through it. They work just fine, you just need to know that's where you activate them from.jacksonjack wrote:Thank you so much Max!!

Cool thanks Max mtg, that's exactly what it needs, really great, now and export option for the game log would be great as well.

I enabled copying of the game log text on the win/lose screen -- just highlight it with the mouse, hit ctrl-a to select all, and ctrl-c (windows/linux) or cmd-c (OSX) to copy. Of course, we could add a 'copy to clipboard' button that would make it a little more obvious... Edit: implemented in r19503jacksonjack wrote:Cool thanks Max mtg, that's exactly what it needs, really great, now and export option for the game log would be great as well.

Oah, weow, thanks so much this is so wonderful, this community is absolutely thriving. Just a wee note, the game condition (win/loss score, plus its explanation), would be nice to appear on the game log as well. This programme is soo professional, I am really thrilled!

That is an excellent suggestion. I'll see if I can get that in. Edit: done. r19527jacksonjack wrote:the game condition (win/loss score, plus its explanation), would be nice to appear on the game log as well.

Now that there is this fine log, I know it sounds indulging, based on that it would be great to be able to resume games (e.g. on quitting) or even better to save games, if I haven't overlooked any precedent option already.

Saving/resuming games is a completely different beast. And while it'll come along at some point, it probably won't be that soon.jacksonjack wrote:Now that there is this fine log, I know it sounds indulging, based on that it would be great to be able to resume games (e.g. on quitting) or even better to save games, if I haven't overlooked any precedent option already.

Feature requests should be posted to this topic Feature Requests Thread.
It makes it easier for the devs if we try to consolidate our bug reports and our Feature requests in the appropriate topics.

It would also be quite important to have in the log the name of custom decks in game. Thanks a lot!
