Hi! Is there some agreed list of abbreviations for the magic sets? I've found a list on wikipedia, and I have compiled a list from the set symbols from gatherer (the codes used in URLs like Image this image's)

If you plan on MWS compatibility then it's a mix and match of gatherer and some custom ones. However in one of the articles it was said Wizards use 3 letter codes for all sets and those were confirmed up to around Kamigawa cycle. Gatherer uses whatever they feel like ex. GU for Urza's Legacy from codename Guacamole.
Personally I use what wikipedia says (however I got no clue where they get set abbreviations past Kamigawa) unless I need to output MWS decks.

Unfortunately most of the promos sets got an overhaul and no longer match ex. all guru and euro lands are now in LND set.

Whenever I want to know a set abbreviation, I ask http://wiki.mtgsalvation.com/ and trust they know what they're talking about; I have no idea where they get their information.

They have the same expansion abbreviations as wikipedia except they miss some.
