I was wondering, there is any way to render tokens with the Cardgen?

No, but you can easily print them via imagemagic (viewtopic.php?f=46&t=1241&p=15903#p15182).

Another little thing, I've tried to import the last masterbase incl. innistrad, everything went good but I can't generate them...
I've tried with Snapcaster Mage only, but nothing to do.
There's something i miss?

First of all greetings from Switzerland.
After a long absence I'm back.
Now my question, is there a easy way to get this program with the latest settings.
I searched a hole week but i think something is all ways missing...

currently you might want to use gwar packages viewtopic.php?f=30&t=4009; I got some updates and feature merges to that but I haven't released them yet

Very cool package, but I have found a bug. When I run it on a .dec file I get the error:
Also curious if there are plans to update it to some of the more recent expansions. I tried to add Mirrodin Besieged without any luck. The cards.cvs seems to be missing the BOM (Byte Order Mark) so editing it in Excel or Notepad++ corrupts it because it uses UTF-8 symbols (as best I can tell). I did put together the rarity symbols for it and tried using the custom card generator to generate the cards I needed, but it didn't use the symbols.
Also, it says it will use all the land art, but I found it only uses land art without a trailing number. So if I have a forest.jpg, then it will use that, but if I have forest 1.jpg it skips it. Any way to make it use numbered land art?
I'm happy to help how I can if you point me in the right direction.

I know you have said the following about original printed text:
But, for the purpose of making proxies I much prefer to see the original text on the cards that I play with (especially with Power 9, as these are the most common proxies made for tournament play). No one likes playing with proxies, and seeing the oracle text is just another reminder that these cards are in fact proxies (have you seen the difference between Bazaar of Baghdad's printed or oracle text?). I think others would appreciate this option. I would also like to see alpha, beta, and unlimited card frame. it's of course very different from the current "pre-8th" frame. that is used on them. Other things like original copyright date, and proper, original set emblems could use correcting for my own taste.All the cards have Oracle wording and it's the official one if the card would be reprinted. The old text is obsolete and has no legal meaning that's why I see no reason supporting it.

I downloaded the files and placed them in:
c:/users/karl/documents/magic/HQCG
All three files were extracted into that directory.
When I run the program and use one of the sample files, it dies saying it
cannot find the art and is looking for E:/mtg/pics
Then it dies...
What am I doing wrong? I followed the instructions carefully and I have double checked that I did it right. I think that the instructions need to be looked at
and revised, as I am a very literate computer user, and I do not have a
working setup...

How does one use misc/createCard.bat to generate a card with foreign text? Can I put the text in the CSV? Name, Type, Text, and Flavor?
Or do I need to setup a custom database with the foreign text? Which folder/file should it be placed into and how should it be formatted?

You need to edit the config files. They're located in the main directory most likely. If they're not go to config directory. You need to edit config.txt and change art.directory option. However it should generate cards nevertheless.

misc/createCard.bat is mostly for quick card testing, plus console on windows doesn't support utf8 for your foreign language needs
Do you need a custom card or an official card.
If it's custom the easiest way is to make a custom data/cards.dat and add your custom set to sets.txt.
If it's an official card then to translate it you need a file data/cards-*.csv where * is your language. Then you change output.language = *; in config.txt and your card is render in your language. You might need to edit / supply other fonts if your language glyphs aren't supported. If you need more information then post here and I'll answer.

Hi,
is there a possibility to automatically recreate the sets.txt from a masterbase or the sets.dat?
I used the MWS masterbase and the import tools but was unable to use the new cards untill I recognized the missing sets in the sets file.

Great App! I just created legacy vectors of the old White Mana and Tap symbols. I see that the core app hasn't been updated since August 2009? The cards.csv files are up to date though. Is it still being developed or has Gwar taken over? I.E. there are multiple set symbols not included in the packages and no text box overlays for SOM and later.

Wizards loves new frames... all 'miracle' cards from the new set have a special frame again...
