No, it’s definitely not dead.

I got in touch with akhren, who has been bogged down with real-life events. He said he would try to put the download back online. Also has been working on legendary frames (I’ve been fortunate to have seen a preview).

If the download isn’t put up by this weekend, I’ll re-upload it next week.

Hi proud, do you have any update? I happened to delete my old copy of HQ Cardgen one month ago and now I just found out it was deleted from Mega

Was this a decision from the author or it was removed on base of Mega ToS? If so, it probably makes sense to choose another host for the future (and keep a mirror somewhere)...

I haven’t heard back from ahkren, so I have finally re-uploaded the package to Mega. I have compressed it with 7-zip.

It was possibly removed from Mega from alleged ToS violation. If it doesn’t work out as time goes by, we’ll try to figure out an alternative.

I’m hoping ahkren will continue working on the project again. If not… I’ll see what I can offer. I am personally invested, as I use the image resources for MTG.Design (with exception of the text rendering, which I do separately).

I have an advanced version of the legendary crowns which I’ll try to finish up. I also would love to see sagas, but I might need some help with those as I am not the most experienced graphics artist.

I'm also curious about this. I think I know why details about the workings of this program are a bit veiled and so, much of the experience comes from tinkering with it, still it would be a nice resource to have, an indepth guide on how to use this thing.
So far, I've managed to generate proxies, but changing the card csv will result in errors. I would like to know more about how this works and how to tinker with it.

There is ReadMe text file included that should tell you how to run it.

Note that I’m not personally a heavy user of the generator scripts myself; perhaps someone else can chime in who has done more work with it?

ahkren has been on hiatus, and I don’t know if they’re going to return to the project.

At this point, someone else would need to step up and help fill in missing frame images.

Im having an issue using HQ Cardgen. When i run the generate cards batch i get an error saying unable to find art directory. The cards are generated without the mtg art and only in russian. Any help with this? D:

Double check your config file and make sure that it is pointing to your artwork directory. As far as I recall, there is also a line that should allow you to turn on/off whether to use art.

Everything generates perfectly with this script except the text in some of the cards are either too spaced out or disproportionate in size (some PW loyalty text sizes differ. This can also lead to text spilling over to the next line when it isn't supposed to. Is there a way to manually edit text? Or any other methods you guys use?

Make sure you've got all the expected fonts first, but you can always create your own version of the cards database and insert your own line returns or similar.

How to make card images DOTP 2014 appear in full??? Like no frames...i saw something like that here but i cant find it anymore..and there is no instruction on where to put or how to do it...any one knows?
