GUI Update

Postby HarryPitfall » 11 Sep 2008, 01:44

GUI Version: 2.8.9.10, compatible with latest version of nates generator resources.
Whats new:
* Several Bug-Fixes in the script, about position, colors and other renderings issues.
* Booster Viewer, select a set, click, and you see a visual spoiler of that booster. 1/8 odds of mythical instead a rare card, 1/80 odds for foil cards. (sorry, no forced land at common slot)
* Support for M rarity (mythical)
* Support for overlay with planeswalkers (if the art is called harrypitfall.jpg, the render with seek a harrypitfall-overlay.png file, and draw over the card at the final step... the overlay MUST be transparent, and must be at exact size of the original picture)

Coming Soon:
* Draft Simulator

Planned 'no coming soon' Features:
* Table to solitarie games, with basic functions.

The GUI doesn't support planeswalker creation because it hasn't been updated in years. :(

I actually managed to make planeswalker. Just put Planeswalker on Type, and 3 lines in Text. Like this.

+2: Exile target permanent you own. Return it to the battlefield at the beginning of the next end step.
-1: Creatures are unblockable this turn.
-8: You get an emblem with "Whenever you cast a spell, exile target permanent."

Thx anyway.

Hi!
Any chance to make this work with the new phyrexian symbols?
I thing the problem is in the "Import" procedure, that can't be altered in the ".js" script. Other issues would probably follow, but that's a must for a start.
I really like this program and, with little modification I think it can be brought back to work.
Thanks in advance!

This program has been dead for years. Simply use the HQ Card generator here:

Thanks, I already have your wonderfull program fully working, but this one had some really good advantages.
For instance:
- On a single clik I could view the card as I generaeted it.
- I have some custom symbols for expansions that I could see right away (again with a single clickk)
- I have custom generated images for promos (DCI, for instance-various colours, Super Series, "DCI star watermark, mtg 5 mana symsbols watermark, and so on, so on, so on... ) that I could simply input in the "Guild" columns for it to print out... It was simple and fun!
But thanks for your answer and all your trouble! Appreciated it! And keep up the wonderfull work!

I was always a huge fan of HarryPitfall's generator. :)

A GUI could be made for the current generator, but is anyone up to the task? Since this generator produces the most authentic, highest resolution output available, it's well worth doing.

@FragMenthor
You can use the syntax
1,Mox Ruby,A,DCI
which will use DCI symbol / overlay; this is completly dynamic so you don't have to configure anything

A GUI would be nice, but it's not really all that hard to do it by hand. :) People are just lazy!

Does anyone happen to have the original installation file that was mentioned in the first post? The Rapidshare link is dead. For you, who think this software is dead, I can confirm that this software is the best. I used it couple years ago, but have since lost to the bit graveyard.
