I'm updating prices for TCGPlayer LOW and it's taking ages to update. More than 8 hours and I'm still at one third let say. If I stop can I continue tomorrow? Will that work or do I have to update it in one shoot? Also I would like to see update all function. That would make it easier to update so you don't have to look for every store if it's updated yet before going on another one. Cheers
Sadly you can not resume. The way the pricing scripts work is they actively pull price on a per page bases and then flush the current page in memory to collect the next. As far as the time it takes to pull prices really depends on there site and your connection. I have heard of speeds from an hour or so to 8 like you state. An update all would be nice as well and is already listed as a request by many :)

It's not even on half and I'm downloding for 12 hours!! I have this slow update only with this site and version. Everything else worked within an hour.

Can you tell me if the other versions of the scripts went any quicker?

Like I said: the most time for any other was around an hour. Some were even lesss than half an hour. This is the only one I have trouble with - TCG Player Low.

Hmm.. that odd. I'll take a look when I have tmie (possibly this weekend) but I haven't changed any of the code since the last release as far as the card to price string detections. All I did was add an array value to the script for the MBS set. Can you tell me if you did all the TCG player scripts in a row? (As in High then Med then Low) Or did you have any other scripts run between them?

I did them in alphabetical order. One by one. I guess first High then I tried Low but it took forever so I stopped it then Med.

Yes it appears the application only opens once now. May be something Goblin Hero changed about the executable.

Alright kristijanH and Mr.C, on the TCGPlayerLow script you are having problems with have you ever used them before? After looking into the script I did find a problem that would cause it to hang up and never make it past the first page. But before releasing a the updated scripts I wanted to find out if it had worked before or not?

If we are lucky, maybe this will mean we'll be seeing an option to either "Update all prices" and/or use the program while updating the prices. Both would be awesome :)

Alright couldn't wait for there responses. Released an update to the scripts. I took down version 2.0 and replaced it with 2.1 since the changes were minor updates to overal existing scripts. MBS cards on various sites with mispellings should be resolved and TCGPlayerLow should now work.

edit:
corrected version numbers (getting a head of myself!)

So did the most recent update work for you guys on the TCGPlayerLOW script?

I've also had a request to create some type of script that can be scheduled on your local machine and then imported into MA. I think I have most the sites created in vbscript form that writes the pricing data out to seperate text files and can be used in conjunction with a form of the "LocalPrices.lua" script to import the prices. Let me know if you guys are interested in these as well. Of the sites I have working they only have array information in them for the current standard sets. The data collection doesnt move any faster than there lua counterparts but what it does allow you to do is schedule the vbscripts to collect the data at night (or off times) and then when you sit down at the MA application click import and it only takes it a minute or so to import each price list (time estimates based on the amount of data collected).

Interested. Obviously it would be nice to be able to basically Update All, then have a fully updated MA with pricing.

Is this implying that they only update M11, Zen, WW, Roe, Scars, and MBS?
