Excellent idea! Several thoughts: I have only one inventory record for both foil and non-foil versions. So we need two columns (one for foil, one for regular). And if you have several copies of the same card you won't be able to set condition of each copy. Is it ok? Your ideas?

A good idea 2 different columns for foil or non-foil versions , for me is not so important set the condition of every cards that I have , for my inventory is important remember the condition of the copy that I store in the collection , is too difficult have the condition of ten different cards for example .
Bye have a good work .
Another request is for the people that have the italian version . If possible scan the italian cards pics I don't have both scanner and time .
Thanks at all who help Goblin Hero

What Causes Card Pics not to be displayed??

Postby omnix32 » 20 Oct 2009, 15:37

There are several Card pics that will not display. This for example

Akroma, Angel of Wrath

Will not display, though the name is the same in the cards data base and the same in Magic Album. It's not all the cards, just certain cards that won't show up.

None of the cards From the vault Exiled will show up, though every thing is correct. (Special Sets\From the Vault Exiled)

Also, What is the Rendered option for? It just shows the top picture of the card. Is there something missing like templates?

I am Glad to see this project as the people that made Magic Workstation seem to have gotten Lazy with Updates.

I still would like to see prices, Mints, export decks, and so on. All the functions of Magic Work station, and beyond.

I am keeping an eye on this for updates, as I do like the program.

Everything? You must put them into "ENG FOIL" subfolder. They work ok. Also can't confirm bug with Akroma.

Just a placeholder for future card renderer.

FOIL??? Ok, thanx!!! Will try that.

That Worked !!!! Thank you !!! "ENG FOIL" Now they show up.

Assault/Battery Will not display, I changed the Cards data to just have a space in between but no go. My vista will not have a "/" in a file name for some reason.

Not even sure the "/" is a issue.

Akroma, Angel of Wrath I can't confirm. IT WORKS NOW !!! NO Clue as to WHY. It works in both Timeshifted and Legions

A simple card for example is Goblin in the Unglued set All my pics in that set are 443x627 All pics display fine but for some reason MAGIC ALBUM Will not display that one Goblin Picture. I have it named (copy/paste) Goblin.jpg. All the rest of the unglued show up.

ATTEMPTED FIX: I found a pic for Goblin off the Internet. Still not showing with replacement pic.

There are several other cards like this. I would not call this a Major bug, it just strange some Cards will not show for me.

Great Program!!! Can't wait for more features like prices.

have fun.

Pls, read the manual. Split cards should be named with underscore, Goblin is a token and shoud be put into ENG TOK folder.

Thank you Goblin Hero!!! Seems I have to make some more folders.

Great program, and I am impressed you took time to answer.

I can't wait until the more deck construction options are added, like probability to draw, maybe even testing decks.. Anyway. Thank you again for such a great program.

have fun.

Quick Search Window Disabled?

Postby omnix32 » 23 Oct 2009, 04:56

I need some more help. I don't mean to be troublesome.

I was adding my cards that I own to my inventory. Now for some reason my quick search window no longer functions. It won't let me type anything in both windows. I click on it, but NOTHING....

I restarted the program, then restarted my computer, still no quick search option. I am not sure what button I hit, and I don't see anything in any options to shut the quick search function off.

The Data base filter / secondary card search function still works. It's just an extra step, but better than no card search. (Not as good as the quick search)

Any ideas on how to re-enable the quick search bar?

Thank you.

Hi,

Omnix32 asked on the DA page whether or not I can't support images the way that Magic Album supports images... But I'd like a bit more detail on exactly how MA supports images, and well... I see one technical difficulty already, DA only runs 1 pic per cardname, while MA seems to be able to run several.

If you have a wiki or some other page with documentation on the subject, please point me that way, otherwise please explain in a fair level of detail how images works in your application, so I can see if I can easily set up a solution to support your way of image support in DA.

Cheers!

Read this page: http://www.slightlymagic.net/software/libraries/22-magic-album, how to show the pictures section.

P.S. A17 is uploaded now.

Hi Hero,
Thanks for fixing the issues I brought up earlier. I had some enhancement ideas to run past you. Not sure if any of them are feasible or not.

1. Add a column in the statistics window for how many cards are missing from each set
2. Make the statistics window sortable by column
(It would be nice to sort by fewest missing to see which set is easiest to complete)
3. Add a way to display all missing cards from all shown sets in addition to the one set at a time.
4. Could you piggy back a price database from somewhere. A rough idea of values would be pretty cool when trying to complete a collection.
5. Deck editor able to save as in OPT and MWS formats.
6. Custom columns in the statics and the missing cards windows.

I realize that those things are no small feat, but a guy can dream can't he?
