Any way to set a relative path for pictures/library/etc.?

Postby OnceWasPerfect » 22 Sep 2014, 15:08

I use magic album on my desktop and on my laptop. I use skydrive to keep everything synced. I have a problem where on my desktop I have skydrive setup to use my D: drive (a standard hard drive) to save space on my SSD that the OS is installed on. On my laptop it is on my C: drive. As a result my laptop doesn't show pictures, needs to be directed to my inventory, etc. I see in the Preferences document in the Config folder it uses absolute paths to find the pictures folder etc. If I change the settings within Magic Album so that everything works on my laptop, it breaks everything on my desktop. Any way to make these relative so it will work on both my laptop and desktop?

You can edit paths in the preferences manually. If you type something like "Pictures" MA will try to load the pictures from the "Pictures" folder relative to the executable.
When you´re a goblin, you don´t have to step forward to be a hero -- everyone else just has to step back.
