Just an information:
Correction of the German database for Nemesis is almost complete. Likely the next few days I'm going to upload it.
My plan is to correct German database for Prophecy next and last, but not least, German database for Mercadian Masques.

If I'm not mistaken, from now on MA has all the German cards (from the regular sets, not the promos)!!! I want to say thanks to all who make this possible. What language will be next?

I am new here. And new with Magic Album.
I have downloaded everything, including the picture in english and german. In the picture folders are zipped ENG and GER datas. But the program only shows english Cards. All GER-Cards are english. What can i do to see the cards in german?

You're doing something wrong. Make sure you're talking about "Scanned Picture" pane. And double check all paths and names of your pictures.Jesper Portus wrote:But the program only shows english Cards. All GER-Cards are english.

I just acquired a set of Homelands in French. I think it will be some time before Extreme can process it, but does anybody here speak the language and want to type up the spoiler text from the unprocessed scans?

I got together a list of what I think is most of the foreign promos missing from MA. It was way more than I thought (currently 1200+ cards!). I'd be willing to chip away at them in my spare time. Which columns do you need filled out for promos?

@tenminutegod & Goblin Hero - Since we plan to add a column for Special Marks, including set symbol watermarks, Guild Watermarks, Event Logo Stamps, and Event Date Stamps, I think we should develop a standard to input these identifying marks. Most of the affected cards are promos. Some cards have multiple Special Marks.

My ideas:skibulk wrote:Since we plan to add a column for Special Marks, including set symbol watermarks, Guild Watermarks, Event Logo Stamps, and Event Date Stamps, I think we should develop a standard to input these identifying marks.
1. Multi line field, one line for each mark.
2. Each line consists of mark's type and name separated by colon.
3. Possible types:
3a. Watermark. The thing you can find in the card's text area. DCI logo, guild logo, etc.
3b. Date stamp. Event date printed in the picure's area.
3c. Anything else?
Examples:
- Code: Select all
WMARK:DCI
DATE:01.05.2010
- Code: Select all
WMARK:Simic Guild

Sounds good to me. So just to clarify, there should not be a space after the colon. Some watermarks could be shorter or longer ie "Simic" vs "Simic Combine". Should we always use the shortest form?
Yes, I've been calling the third type of Special Mark a logo "stamp" (as opposed to symbols that appears in the usual place) - see the Artisan of Kozilek Promo, Arena League Oversized Promos, etc.
I can provide updates for watermarks on any non-promo card on Gatherer, assuming their data is correct.

I think it's a good idea to keep the names shorter, if it is possible.skibulk wrote:Should we always use the shortest form?

I've sent to tenminutegod the template files.skibulk wrote:So I believe then that the columns needed to add promos are:

I picked a test batch with no watermarks or stamps (the old book promos), but everything suggested so far sounds good. I agree on keeping watermark names as short as possible while still being descriptive. Most of the names for those and the stamps will be pretty straightforward.
I think for dates it would just be best to include them as they're printed on the card.
