Copy & Paste "cell" in inventory
by Galfaroth » 18 Jan 2019, 18:17
First of all, thank you Goblin Hero and the rest of the team that maintains and updates the program, the database and the pictures.
Now, here comes my question with some background explanation.
I have two inventories (let's say, one for each box that contains cards) that I want to merge. Before that, I want to write in the "Notes" column the name of box, so when they are merged in a consolidate inventory, I can still know in what box is the card located.
The same is for example, when I buy bulk cards, and then I want to give the same buy price to all of them.
Is there a way to "copy the content of a cell" (eg. the content of a note or buying price) and then, paste that value to some selected/filtered cards

If I understand you, you need to use "Merge" item in the inventory menu. It merges another inventory into the opened one. Notes is properly merged this way.
When you´re a goblin, you don´t have to step forward to be a hero -- everyone else just has to step back.

No, you didn't understand me.Goblin Hero wrote:If I understand you, you need to use "Merge" item in the inventory menu. It merges another inventory into the opened one. Notes is properly merged this way.
Let's say I have 2 inventories with 1000 cards each.
None of them has any notes on it.
Before I merge them, I want to add a note to the inventory one that says something like "box 1", also I want to add the note "box 2" to the second inventory.
Since there are no notes in any card, it will take a lot of time to write this note on each card, so I am asking if is there a way that I can write "box 1" in the note of the first card of inventory one and then "copy and paste" this note to the remaining 999 cards of the inventory.

Ok, so in order to do that, I need to export my inventory as CSV, update the "notes" in excel, and import back to magic album.Goblin Hero wrote:No, it's impossible.
Any chance to include in the importing CSV file the Buy/Sell Price and Buy/Sell Qty and/or grades for R/F?

Make a copy of your *.mai file and edit it in Excel directly - it's basically a tab separated csv file.Galfaroth wrote:Ok, so in order to do that, I need to export my inventory as CSV, update the "notes" in excel, and import back to magic album.
