Why? You can do it with "Add card to buylist" button. Or add card to inventory and then set value to 0.

I use the second method. When a new set comes out I add all the cards to inventory then add or remove to the number i have.

Can you explain me why do you do it? What's the purpose of adding zero qty entries to your inventory?

To see which cards I don't have within a set. I find your missing cards function somewhat confusing. I can't use it right. So instead I just filter my inventory to show all cards I don't have. Save the inventory as a csv file nad edit it excel to make a printable table what cards I would like to have.

I see. But IMHO missing cards function is more convenient :) It also allows saving lists to .txt or .csv.

I didn't say my way was better I just said how and why I use it. But I would really like to see some documentation on your program.
