Quick Search improvements
Posted: 29 Dec 2011, 12:24In my opinion it would be a great improvement, if quick search would not only search from the beginning of the "Name" text. It should behave like the "Oracle Text" filter. I see only disadvantages to search only the "Name" field from beginning. I don't think that you are faster in finding the card. You are even slower, because if don't know it exactly, you have to open the filter. If someone needs the option to search only from beginning of the name field, I would add this as an option.
An other solution and perhaps the most professional way would be to allow simple Regexp. This way the default behavior could be like it is now, but the user has the chance to add a star in Front of the search to not only search from the beginning.
