Hello everyone,
First of all thank this forum and its creators for all the work dedicated to MWS, I've been using this program for more than 15 years so it's a relief that you manage to keep it alive.
I cant get the data for Alchemy Cards (MTG Arena digital format) with gatherer-extractor, and nobody mention it so i would like to ask if anyone know how to do it, or which is the best way to do it manually (to dont get error at MWS).
If i find a way to do it i will post the complete database here for any other interested member. THX again!
:D

Hi,

I'm having trouble with the txt patches.

I started from the latest db compiled by nyanko1 in February. Everything is fine with it.

Then I'm trying to apply the MOM & MOC txt patches provided by pangolinz.

I select Tools -> Analyze/Add/Remove Sets, I select "Add New Edition", I give the correct name and set code, "Get data from text spoiler", point to the .txt file.

Set/patch applies correctly :
- I can see the new cards are indeed searchable and I can find them
- The new set does appear in the set list (from "Tools -> Analyze/Add/Remove Sets")
- checking the Sets.dat file (with Notepad++) shows indeed new entries for the new set.

Yet if I close MWS an reopen it, it seems the cards are missing from the database. The set is still known, it appears in set list (from "Tools -> Analyze/Add/Remove Sets", and it even tells me the correct number of cards etc), only the database seems unchanged and I can't find the cards anymore.

I've tried exporting the database to a new file after applying the patch, and replace the old file with the new exported this way, but it didn't change anything.

What am I doing wrong ? How can I correctly and reliably update the database from the txt patches ?

Thanks for your help.

Hey guys, is this programm still working? i played it yeara ago and downloaded everything. When I start the programm to play and it wants me to choose "enter opponent id" nothing happens. When I click on "mwsplaynet" nothing connects. and the second option mws gamesnet is not connecting to a host either.
