Are there any plans to swap out the low-res images from the past year or so? For example, ZNR has had high res images in Scryfall for over a year, but the Pics library still has the early low res ones. I'd be willing to help if there's some way to some replacements more efficiently than one-by-one, just let me know.

I'd think this should be possible in a future update. I noticed a lot of low-res pictures when updating my database this evening. I've kept my old CCGHQ picture library from previous years, and the 300dpi scans are night and day with the new ones in terms of clarity and size. I'm sorry I haven't updated the pictures to the high quality ones already available in Scryfall. I've been really busy and I'm giving priority to update the masterbase instead of the pictures. Maybe early next year I can update them during my break.

Are you planning to update the master base?

I have been using Magic Workstation for a long time to playtest and I find it amazing that there are still dedicated people out there who invest time to keep this little treasure working. Big thanks to user arcanistheomnipotent!

Maybe I can now give a tiny bit back to the community. I am sure other have encountered the same effect, namely that adding new sets via "add/analyze/remove sets" feature has stopped working since Wizards came up with these many many additional card versions. What I see is that I can still add a new set via spoiler files generated by gatherer-extractor, but as soon as I add the cards to a deck the problems start. Loading a deck containing cards with a special version will prompt an error message and play testing is not possible.

However I found a way that works for me, making it possible to add new sets. Here is what you have to do:

* Get the spoiler file you want to add via gatherer-extractor and make a copy
* Download notepad++ and open the copied spoiler file with it
* Go to search / replace and enable regular expressions in the search mode at the bottom
* paste this text into "find what:"

Code: Select all

\(1\)|\(2\)|\(3\)|\(4\)|\(5\)|\(6\)|\(7\)|\(8\)

* leave "replace with:" empty or enter a space, then click replace all and save your file
* Now go to Magic Workstation and add your set as you would normally do
* Save your database

Hope will help a few people to use this still wonderful software.
