Everyone who uses my DB - pls read this

Every single DB release lots of users have MWS crushes or other problems. There can be several reasons:
1. You're doing something wrong. Not likely, but sometimes happens.
2. MWS is buggy as hell.
I do not know why your MWS crashes with my new DB and work with the old one.
I do not know why your can't see the new set.
No, it's not my fault. I'm using the same tools for DB generation for years.
I do test every DB on my computer and it works. If you have problems - ask in the forums.
I do not support MWS and will ignore all personal messages about MWS bugs/crashes.
But DB error reports are highly appreciated.

everytime I try to install the Scars of Mirrodin Update I get the following Error Code from Magic Workstation:

"Debug: (insufficient memory for this operation)"

And when I click okay it gives me a blank masterbase despite the fact that I know I had installed the most up to date Masterbase on my computer. I know it isn't because I have insufficient Memory, because I have 8 GB's of RAM, and a Quad Core Processor, so I have plenty of Memory to do anything I want on my computer. So it is obviously something else. And yes the program did work prior to this situation.

I got the same Error, and I found out that at my computer the error was caused by the "Import ... - Import Rulings ..." function of MWS. After reinstall without rulings import Goblin Hero's Masterbase worked fine again.

That didn't work for me. What did end up working for me, was instead of loading the game normally, I ended up having to load the game as an Administrator. I hate Windows Vista :x

I`ve got the same problem since the Mirrodin Bedieged Update. I can display decks, but the main-db keeps being blank.

It doesn`t work with standard rulings (year 2003) or the latest import. Is there anything else I can try? I know MWS is bugy, but the browsing for cards, bulding and testing decks in solitaire mode is still awesome.

Meanwhile Goblin Hero created a blank rulings file which should make the masterbase work, see here:

Goblin Hero, when you will convert to ".mwBase" for new acronyms (3 letters)?
They can do this for the next edition?

I'm starting to convert all folders of images into the new acronyms, but I saw that the base still has many acronyms old yet.

I edited a table and would like to verify possible errors and additions:
https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key ... l=en#gid=0

I'm waiting
tks ;-)

Never. Once upon a time I've used non-standard '9ED' acronym instead of '9E'. After lots of posts and whines I was forced to change it back. Do you think users will be happy to rename all the folders with the pictures?

I do not think users would see no problem with renaming the folders.
I want to establish a "standard" acronyms as quickly as possible because some users have recently asked me if there would be change.

As I am formatting the "EasyInstall" will soon want to propose a "solution" to download images from a simplified form. Thus the creation of a standard would be ideal (though not with 3 letters). If it were to change three letters, I have adapted the folders for these "new acronyms".

(Sorry my bad english)

Like I said, each person adopts a "default" for abbreviations and this greatly complicates the process of establishing a "universal default"

Note in the above listing, that there are many differences between the abbreviations used by the wizards (the first acronym) of the magic card info (the second acronym) and its database.

I would like to set the default database following the pattern of wizards and then communicate the magic cards info, and other programs that use images were all following the same methodology making it easier for those who use more than one program and want to configure it with the images (which also would be using this "universal default")

Can we do this?

Thanks

here is one for you..... THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!! I have been using your data bases for a few years now and even with a few mws glitches that a re install and new master base always fixes you have made it much easier for me to enjoy and deck test.

Sorry some people still find a way to wine at you but all your hard work is most appreciated by lots more people who just don't always take time to say THX.
