CON Masterbase

Postby FirePenguinMaster » 01 Feb 2009, 06:26

so i have my txt spoiler set up with everything as it should be, but when i have MWS create the set from that txt file, i get this box:
Code: Select all
Finished operation with "Conflux"
Added 145 card(s); Skipped: 145 card(s).
any ideas why? here's the txt i'm trying to import:
Conflux.txt.zip
(7.25 KiB) Downloaded 455 times

<EDIT> — i should mention that i am changing the fields in MWS to fit those in the txt file. should i just flip that around so i change the txt to fit the defaults in the MWS importer?

If someone knows how to fix this error i would like to know how since i get the same thing. I have a masterbase that i modified and i want to add conflux from txt spoiler without having to overwrite my masterbase with someone else.

#1. You really should reset to the latest masterbase. It'll save weirdness and crashes down the line.

#'2. You shouldn't use con, but cfx

#3. Importing the conflux cards you have to change one of the import parameters. When adding new sets, set the Booster distribution to 1/3/10/1 (the 10 is the imporant one, the one you might have to change).

But, really, even if #3 helps, I advise to do #1.

Indeed. This may be unrelated, but as I've said often (like in the install guide), MWS does not like to be updated more than once. The best way to use MWS when a new base comes out is with a clean install, like it or not. Then do your editing.

After more than one update all sorts of weird things happen; you may show too few cards or too many for starters.
