I'm locking it and moving it to the bottom of the page. Maybe this will force noobs to post in the proper forum.

This thread is a global sticky, so I'm not sure which of the FAQs you're referring to? There are a couple depending on which sub-forum you're browsing. I would hope any FAQ would answer noob questions up front, reducing the number of useless posts. I worry that moving an FAQ to the bottom of the page would defeat the purpose. I'm not opposed to locking, although I'd like to confirm that locked threads can be edited and updated?

There was one on the main forum level that people post to with no context and never get any responses.

Yes, sorry, I'm talking about viewforum.php?f=40, which is a forum and not a topic.
Most of the posts in there are by first-time posters, asking for help solving a problem about a game, and the game is never specified. They don't seem to understand that CCGHQ has more than one game in it. And like friarsol said, they never get a reply due to the non-specific nature of the request, and the fact that, for example, most Forge users only ever go to the Forge forum.
