Hi, Drizzt893
seems you've downloaded only patch that doesn't contain all files needed

first you need to download and unpack Magic Wars v.1.2.0pre-alpha.zip to any folder, then unpack Magic Wars v.1.2.0patch-1.zip to the same folder that will rewrite some files

Those aren't runnable jars, this means you cannot run them via double click.
Personally I think it would be nice to make them runnable so that you won't need those bat files.

Thanks. I thought pre alpha was just an old one in case there were bugs.

Where do I find the bat files? I'm still stuck.

I still don't know how to make jar runnable. I build it with ant script and seems need to put manifest there somehow.

Drizzt893>
Magic Wars v.1.2.0pre-alpha.zip contains startClient.bat (for Windows) and startClient.sh (for Linux)
the other option is to build version 1.3.0 from svn, it has:
*lots of bug fixes
*200 new cards (with 125\145 WorldWake)

There's manifest property in jar ant task. You can either generate manifest with ant or provide an already present one. I can supply you with a premade one if you need. I already had it somewhere for magicwars and it was working just fine.

That would help out a lot. I know my way around leisure use when it comes to a computer, but I'm no programmer. I don't know what half of what you said means. Could you upload it? I don't know why they don't have all you need on the download page anyway...

they have

1. download Magic Wars v.1.2.0pre-alpha.zip
2. unpack it to any folder, let's say c:\games, it will create c:\games\Magic Wars v.1.2.0pre-alpha folder with stackClient.bat and startClient.sh within
3. download Magic Wars v.1.2.0pre-alpha.zip
4. unpack it to any folder and copy all files to c:\games\Magic Wars v.1.2.0pre-alpha
5. go there and run either startClient.bat or startClient.sh

I unpacked it onto my desktop and there is not stackclient.bat. Startclient.sh does not open.
