High Cost Deck

Postby Marty » 12 Mar 2009, 04:06

This is probably been done before..but here is a deck that focuses on getting a lot of mana out early and putting very high cost creatures in play long before the opponent. It does pretty well against the AI, but I don't play green much so some recommendations would be great. Also, any tips on some common filler cards that would be good to get a deck up to 60?

48 Total Cards

18 Creatures
-------------
4x Birds of Paradise
2x Crash of Rhinos
2x Kodama of the North Tree
2x Shivan Wurm
2x Silvos, Rogue Elemental
2x Simic Sky Swallower
4x Utopia Tree

13 Spells
----------
4x Howling Mine
4x Kodama's Reach
1x Mox Emerald
1x Mox Jet
1x Mox Pearl
1x Mox Ruby
1x Mox Sapphire

17 Land

17x Forest

For extra speed and
Defense of the Heart
Elvish Piper
Darksteel Colossus
Akroma, Angel of Fury
Akroma, Angel of Wrath
Godsire (for a REALLY NASTY trick, use Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker to copy Godsire, then tap them both for a token. The copy made with kiki leaves play but the token stays. OUCH!)

And for fast mana, there are 4 elves that cost 1 0r 2 mana that each produce mana, some of 3 different colors and there is a human druid that also does that. (too lazy to look up the names, sorry)
Just click the TYPE bar in the editor and look through the elves.

Have fun!

Druid of Anima even gives you the right color mana for the Godsire-Kiki Trick though Getting Kiki out is a harder than Godsire. Ingots too are pretty strong for this. I wonder if the AI can play this deck...if so it might make a good AI Quest deck.
