A new deck: B-Breaker
by Chris H. » 09 Nov 2008, 01:02
This is a green and red deck. It is a much faster deck than my last one. I think that it may need just a wee bit of fine tuning.
I have play tested against the computer and it works fairly well. Granted, the AI and it's random deck creation may put it at a disadvantage.
60 Total Cards
27 Creatures
-------------
4x Ball Lightning
2x Birds of Paradise
4x Blistering Firecat
2x Eternal Witness
4x Groundbreaker
2x Joiner Adept
1x Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker
4x Spark Elemental
2x Sparkspitter
2x Utopia Tree
11 Spells
----------
4x Feral Lightning
4x Harmonize
1x Mox Emerald
1x Mox Ruby
1x Wheel of Fortune
22 Land
--------
9x Forest
9x Mountain
4x Taiga

Nice deck but I would ditch the 2 Joiner Adept for 2 more Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker.
After all, you want to make the most from your critters that leave play at end of turn.
For speed, I would go with 4 Birds of Paradise instead of the 2 Utopia Tree. You need to get your trampling 1 hit critters out there as soon as you can.
I am no big fan of Sparkspitter and only 1 Wheel of Fortune is not going to help you much.
So... it is exit for those 3 and... include 2 more Eternal Witness and a Stomping Ground.
This gives you more chances to return a card to your hand and is as close to adding a 5th Taiga as you can get without breaking the rules.
I will try your deck as you made it, then make the changes I mentioned here and see if it makes any difference.
Either way, the idea is solid, if a little suicidal since you won't have any defence nor any lifegain.
Alas, no pain, no gain.

I now have 4 Joiner Adept and 4 Stomping ground. I think it may be necessary.Mr.Chaos wrote:Nice deck but I would ditch the 2 Joiner Adept for 2 more Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker.

I like the idea of having 3 Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker. I just finished a game with Kiki-Jiki copying a Blistering Firecat two turns in a row!
I removed the Wheel of Fortune and a Harmonize.
The newest version of my deck:
60 Total Cards
29 Creatures
-------------
4x Ball Lightning
4x Birds of Paradise
4x Blistering Firecat
2x Eternal Witness
4x Groundbreaker
4x Joiner Adept
3x Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker
4x Spark Elemental
9 Spells
----------
4x Feral Lightning
3x Harmonize
1x Mox Emerald
1x Mox Ruby
22 Land
--------
7x Forest
7x Mountain
4x Stomping Ground
4x Taiga

I pretty much agree with all these comments. There are some other great possibilities like Lightning Bolt which is the most damage dealer in the game. Wheel is ok if you plan to capitalize on the discards(black red) but not so awesome with green. Of course it depends largely on what your opponent is playing too.Mr.Chaos wrote:Nice deck but I would ditch the 2 Joiner Adept for 2 more Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker.
