Here is an easy domain deck. A harder version is only possible if new cards get added (and the AI can use fetchlands).

Easy:
    2 Volcanic Island
    2 Bayou
    2 Savannah
    2 Tundra
    2 Badlands
    2 Tropical Island
    2 Taiga
    2 Scrubland
    2 Plateau
    2 Underground Sea
    4 Allied Strategies
    4 Tribal Flames
    2 Tromp the Domains
    3 Exotic Disease
    2 Gaea's Might
    2 Might of Alara
    1 Collective Restraint
    1 Power Armor
    1 Wandering Stream
    4 Aven Trailblazer
    4 Wandering Goblins
    4 Wild Nacatl
    2 Loam Lion
    2 Kird Ape
    2 Sejiri Merfolk
    1 Sedge Troll
    1 Hedge Troll

Did I miss any important cards for this kind of deck?

You might consider Global Ruin if the AI knows how to use it. Then again, perhaps that's too dirty for the beginner version of the deck.
If Domain is fully implemented, there are a few more cards that should be easy to add and would be nice, in particular Drag Down and Matca Rioters.

Global Ruin is a good suggestion and should be added to a medium and hard version. But we should wait for some new cards to be added.

Here is a new deck based around enchantress effects:

Medium:
    4 Savannah
    4 Graypelt Refuge
    7 Forest
    7 Plains
    4 Enchantress's Presence
    4 Oblivion Ring
    4 Journey to Nowhere
2 Sigil of the Empty Throne
    3 Ghostly Prison
    2 Awakening Zone
    1 Kismet
    1 Honden of Cleansing Fire
    1 Honden of Life's Web
    1 Seal of Cleansing
    1 Seal of Primordium
    1 Privileged Position
    1 Exploration
    1 Hoofprints of the Stag
    1 Centaur Glade
    1 Mana Matrix
    1 Femeref Enchantress
    4 Argothian Enchantress
    1 Lucent Liminid
    1 Verduran Enchantress
    1 Mesa Enchantress
    1 Yavimaya Enchantress

Hey Chris, how do you go about coming up with the nicknames for the decks you pull and what is it that draws you to pull a deck for AI/Quest usage?

If you pull my GRW Stormfront entry, Use Electro or The Shocker. ;)

Rares created the original quest mode. He released a beta for us to test here last year. He came up with the idea of naming the decks after people. I just continued his tradition. I now try to make sure that I can find a jpg picture by doing a google search. Google is my friend.

Yeah, the King Arthur deck and a few others have given me a real hard time. My current record is 58 wins and 4 losses. King Arthur and one of the Hatchling decks beat me and a couple of the Dungeon Crawling decks have ruined my day.

I look for decks that have different themes and that use cards that the computer can effectively use. I sometimes have to replace a large number of cards to get it to work.

The computer can not use cards that give more than one point of mana. There are a number of cards that also have no AI code. Cards that use keywords are usable by the computer. For cards that have their own block of code I will look at the canPlayAI() method for the card in question.

I find that designing AI decks can be a lot of fun. Then again, the skills that we develop designing decks for ourselves to use may be different and there are play balance issues to consider. I have a real hard time determining if a deck is far too hard or too easy.

No worries. Do all AI deck designs have to be 60 cards then as well? I'll start considering some conversions if I know the limitations. :) I personally have always preferred 70 card decks because of that hairs breadth of variability I can give extra with 10 extra cards since often they are mana generators from spell or artifact sources.

I currently have a WR quest deck. I have several big expensive creatures, Akroma, Angel of Fury, Avatar of Fury and Shivan Dragon. I also have several expensive damage spells.

The two Seething Song in my deck is nice, I have had games where the extra 2 mana points allowed me to cast a big spell early on. Unfortunately, Seething Song is an example of a mana producer that the computer can not use. We may be able to fix that one day.

I tend to create 60 card decks for the computer. There is no restriction in forge itself.

I'm hoping my Sliver deck will become an AI deck at some point. It's evil. It'll be even more evil once more slivers are added to the program.
