This deck is not much harder than the hard version (maybe on the same level). Compared to the other tier 4 decks it's not unfair enough. I don't think this theme is able to support a tier 4 deck.

Some copies of Dungrove Elder should be added to Treebeard 3 though.

Interesting deck. I recently realized that there were enough cards for a golem theme type deck. I just checked the deck editor, wow. There are more of them than I thought. I see that the Artificers from NPH serve as lords.

Thank you Corwin. We could use a weak Krypto 1 deck to go with the tier 2 and tier 3 Bloodthirst Krypto decks.

We can always use a few more tier 1 decks.

There are more than fifty sets in the history of magic. In a year or two it will look completely random that these decks are restricted to M12 cards. The Blue deck is absolutely alright though (but I think it's too hard for tier 1).

The Golem deck also looks good.

I think that a tier 3 variant for the blue deck concentrating on the Illusion tribal theme would be nice.

There are a lot of golem cards. Should be able to get at least two different tier decks out of them.

There is an un-blockable critter in there, Tormented Soul. I expect that the bloodthirsty spells will be summoned in phase two. It is an interesting twist on the bloodthirst theme.

Yes. I guess all tiers are possible, since there are lots of illusions good and poor in the game. Krovikan Mist is another tribal card besides Lord of the Unreal.

Good point. I didn't notice that. Still some more bloodthirst enablers could replace Shock and Incinerate.

Sorry, I have been around but work has been slammed recently.

I miss being able to build a new SVN every morning.
I don't like the 15 day delayed gratification.

I have not been brewing much these days.

I agree that a ton of set decks would be odd. I do think that we can focus on showing off the keywords and cards that are used in each set. When building from a set I will use cards that I would not usually build with. When looking for a green three drop I would not usually put in Lurking Crocodile but limiting my search to M12 makes that an attractive choice.

As forge gets bigger I would love to see the old magic theme decks show up in forge.

The AI decks should be able to beat me with a good draw but the creatures should not be great. I can't tell you how many times that I was killed with a Grey Ogre in the old Magic Shandalar.

I really like to play against decks that I have to interact with.
I try to create a deck that can put some pressure on the player and back it up with some disruption. I like for the AI decks to be low in curve so that the player can win with larger spells after they stabilize. I hate cards that are not interactive.

I do think that the blue deck is probably too hard with 8 bounce spells and 4 counters. That may be too much disruption against an easy or medium deck because of the undercosted threats. I will see what I can come up with today

This looks good Corwin. Illusions of Grandeur has no synergy and is generally weak in the hand of the AI though. I would love to see Krovikan Mist instead.
I can't test it at the moment, but my wild guess would be to put it in tier 3.

I think the M12 Blue deck is too similar, but it can be turned into a medium version of the Illusion deck if you want.

For me it's the same - I love to use cards that never show up in constructed tournament decks. But for me it's important that the cards work better in our deck than in a random deck. In a word - synergy. I agreed with Chris that restricting the card choices by flavor or set is only acceptable for the tier 1 decks (because too much synergy will normally make them too powerful).

I would love to see the theme decks available to the human player to start with or to buy in the bazaar. gos is doing a great job in posting the forgeable decklists.

I made Sloth's edits to the Illusion deck that Corwin created. I play tested the deck and think that it may be a tier 3. I can add it to the new SVN in a day or two.
