AI Pirates

These AI decks require Forge 05-10 or later. These 3 decks are playable by the AI.

The AI will put into play pirate type creatures. The Hard deck features creature control, the Medium deck features threat removal and the Easy deck features counter spells.

I plan to add these 3 decks to the AI decks that you will face in quest mode. These quest mode decks will be named Jack Sparrow {1 or 2 or 3}.

AI Pirates Easy:

AI Pirates Medium:

AI Pirates Hard:

I've found King Arthur 1 (AI Knights Easy) to be way more difficult than the other decks (in quest mode at that point). Baneslayer Angel is way above the curve compared to the other quest decks and Vulshok Morningstar, Honor of the Pure, and Skullclamp make all of the weenies the deck runs very threatening.

Perhaps the deck could change Skullclamp and Vulshok Morningstar to either Leonin Scimitar, Kitesail or Trusty Machete, Honor of the Pure to Glorious Anthem, and/or Baneslayer Angel to Serra Angel, to lower the deck's power level and speed (or something along these lines in terms of changes).

King Arthur 1:

Just my 2 cents. Ancient Spider should be removed from all of the quest decks. It is just insane. 2/5 with reach and first strike. I think it is too hard to kill.

@ KonataX

Thank you for the suggestions. I will make some changes and update the new deck version to the SVN. Next beta release should include the new and revised version.

@ Rares

Yeah, that Ancient Spider is awesome and to be feared. That darned Dr No 3 deck almost beat me today.

In the past I typically only played 10 match quests and I am now working on a long term Fantasy quest. I'm at 24 wins and 4 losses and I am almost at the point where the Quests button will become active. Can hardly wait.

I think cards like Brawn should also be removed from the AI decks, simply because it causes the game to slow down to the point where its unplayable after a few turns.

Thank you for reporting on this problem. I just did a quick check and it looks like Kojak 1 has a Brawn and Darth Vador 3 has four Wonder that need to be replaced. :D

Here's an Oath deck I made for AI it can be very easy or impossible depending how prepared you are (enchantment destruction can buy you enough time to finish AI).
I suppose this is a bit extreme for

60 Total Cards

5 Creatures
-------------
1x Emrakul, the Aeons Torn
1x Iona, Shield of Emeria
1x Kozilek, Butcher of Truth
1x Sphinx of the Steel Wind
1x Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre

36 Spells
----------
4x Accumulated Knowledge
1x Ancestral Recall
1x Balance
1x Brainstorm
2x Duress
2x Echoing Truth
4x Force of Will
1x Mox Emerald
1x Mox Jet
1x Mox Pearl
1x Mox Ruby
1x Mox Sapphire
4x Oath of Druids
3x Serum Visions
1x Sol Ring
4x Spell Pierce
1x Thirst for Knowledge
1x Thoughtseize
1x Time Walk
1x Tinker

19 Land
--------
4x Forbidden Orchard
2x Island
1x Tolarian Academy
4x Tropical Island
4x Underground Sea
4x Volcanic Island

Nice Snacko, its good to see that people are considering to use the cards that i code for AI decks :)
Speaking of which, i decided to make another deck for the AI, based on Vengevine.

Vengevine Deck:

17 Land:
----------------------
4 Bayou
7 Forest
6 Swamp

17 Creatures:
----------------------
4 Birds of Paradise
2 Bloodghast
4 Essence Warden
3 Noble Hierarch
4 Vengevine

26 Other:
----------------------
2 Buried Alive
4 Damnation
2 Garruk Wildspeaker
3 Harmonize
4 Howling Mine
1 Mox Emerald
1 Mox Jet
4 Ostracize
4 Phyrexian Arena
1 Plague Wind

I've mainly tested the deck with "Stack AI Land" and it works quite well. With the recent AI update for Vengevine, the deck will play its smaller creatures to trigger Vengevine's ability in main phase 1 when its in the graveyard after its been put there either from dying in battle or from Buried Alive. The deck can quickly turn the game around if 2 or more Vengevines are in the graveyard!

I like the two last decks. It might be a good idea to try adding them to the short list of special Fantasy based AI decks. I had fun adding a Legendary deck as "The King's Contest".

Man, that King's Contest deck is a beast. I only won because the AI milled itself with its own Fecundity (and with the help of Swans of Bryn Argoll tanking all that damage from those massive legends)

Thank you. During my testing I found that the deck sometimes does not perform very well. Other times it is almost unbeatable.

I plan to now spend some time on AI decks for quest mode, and will try to add a few more to the special fantasy mode. I think that I should have more time now that I have finished the updating the keywords to use CARDNAME project. :)

Oh, and I have had a lot of fun playing the fantasy quest mode. Thank you Dennis. I have now played over 100 matches. This is my current player deck that I am now using:
