Thanks for that Chris. The "Repressed Magic.jpg" image has been up since I first uploaded the avatars. At that time someone had just posted an option for it and I thought it worked well (I've attached again for easy reference). Its not a character avatar, but rather a themed one which I think suits the deck well.

That pic was used by another quest challenge (and the someone who posted it was Chris himself). I used it again, because i think the challenge avatars don't have to be so memorable .

At some point in the past it was decided to have the duel opponent decks represented by an avatar picture of some person.

The special quests were meant to be different and they were given a non-person avatar picture. These could be a place/object/symbol/ etc.

I finally found an interesting picture for quest27.dck

The Icon= line in this deck would have to be changed to:

Icon=The Torpor Orb.jpg

Finally made it over to the regular Forge forum and @Roujin had a comment about repeatable quests.

From when I was working on this a while back, I seem to remember all quests were repeatable, so I had removed that line of text ("this quest is not repeatable").

If non-repeat quests are "in the cards" (heh) I'll make this fix in the near future...what's the story on this?

Of the 27 challenges we have, about 10 have the line "Repeat=true" the others have "Repeat=false". I thought you enabled the option for quests to not be repeatable back then, Doublestrike.

When Dennis first added the special quest opponents we only had a few of them, far less than 27.

The plan was to add in additional special quest opponents and to then activate the "Repeat=false" option when we had enough of them available to make it worthwhile.

I'm with Sloth, I think that we should enable this option now. :)

My recollection seems to be that they weren't repeatable at the time, so I left them that way. Can't remember, but doesn't matter, since...

I made some modern decks for my quest AI to use, however I am not sure what cards it can/can't properly run or even buggy. I know the AI is horrible using "pay 2 life" lands such as Breeding Pool. Suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

Two decks contain cards which the AI can not use effectively and you should consider replacing them. These decks are the BR Liliana and the WRG Avacyn decks.

The constructed mode deck editor has an AI column and any cards that contain the label "AI" should be avoided.

Your decks look good, abyssaldesignatorify. Some notes:

abyssaldesignatorify wrote:I know the AI is horrible using "pay 2 life" lands such as Breeding Pool.
Yes Shocklands shouldn't be used in AI decks. Painlands can also be suboptimal (but genrally ok). The Graven Cairns cycle can't be used at all.

We already have a dedicated Liliana's Caress deck in Saruman 2/3 and James T Kirk 3. We have a specter deck
in The Spectre 3.

We currently only have a mono black vampire deck in Bela Lugosi 3. A BR or WBR vampire deck is wanted, but should try to cover the whole red vampire tribe. Suggestions:
- Drop Vampire Nocturnus and add more mono red vampires for mono black ones.
- The AI is not so good with Falkenrath Aristocrat (drop to 1 or 0 copies).

...more comments later.

We have a BR Goblin deck in C3PO.

We don't have an angel deck, mainly because no tribal cards were released before AVR. I guess it's a tough nut to build. Mana curve and all. If you want to try, i would like to see more tribal cards included (Bladed Bracers, Defy Death, Herald of War, Seraph Sanctuary) and maybe Adaptive Automaton to really enforce the tribal theme, otherwise it would feel like a bomb lottery (Baneslayer Angel, Gisela, Blade of Goldnight or Sigarda, Host of Herons) with some random cards around.

Testing is needed
