Just downloaded. Where do I put these decks? May try them eventually.
When playing, card text is important. Read and understand it. It will usually prevent most errors.

Generally you want to put them in the "decks/constructed" subfolder in your Forge profile folder (you can find out where that is by clicking the "Open User Folder" button (or something along those lines) in Forge preferences). You definitely don't want to put all 145000+ there at the same time though since it'll take forever for Forge to load in that case, so make sure you just pick your favorites by archetype(s), deck builder, or something else first. ;)

UPDATE (04/21/16): Uploaded an update pack that includes 11821 playable decks from the period between Feb 1, 2016 until Apr 21, 2016. There's also an update pack with 4042 AI-playable decks and 112 unsupported decks.

Note that as for the latest set (Shadows over Innistrad), the absence of cards Sin Prodder and, to a somewhat lesser extent, Crawling Sensation is the most noticeable when it comes to unsupported Standard decks from MTGDecks.net. As for Oath of the Gatewatch, I'd say the absence of Remorseless Punishment is the most noticeable.

UPDATE (04/22/16): Since Sin Prodder was added recently (r31148+), here are the updated versions of the Apr 21 packs that mark decks with Sin Prodder in them as supported. Note that you need a recent SVN build to play with those decks.

Re: MTGDecks.net Deck Lists - over 166500 decks

Postby Agetian » 19 Jun 2016, 20:31

UPDATE (06/19/16): Uploaded a new full pack, which now contains over 166500 decks, among them 36569 AI-playable ones, as well as 1083 unsupported (or partially supported) decks which contain one or more cards not yet available in Forge. This pack is built against Forge SVN rev. 31235, some decks may be incompatible with the earlier builds of Forge.

NEW: All the decks are now sorted not only by format (Standard, Vintage, etc.), but also by edition. I have written a simple deck sorter which tries to deduce which "era" the deck belongs to (during the time frame of which edition it could have been built). This should significantly reduce clutter and also make it simpler to locate decks belonging to particular sets. Note that this is an automated process which may not be perfect, so some inconsistencies are to be expected (there's no way I'm sorting over 160000 decks by hand :P ).

UPDATE (06/20/16): The packs are reuploaded. I fixed an issue with the classification type of decks (all the decks are now explicitly marked as "Constructed", which helps avoid issues with their placement in the Forge deck folder). If you downloaded the packs before this message appeared, please redownload.

Enjoy!

Thank you! Best update yet.

Am I missing something though? I don't see any folders for Oath of the Gatewatch; am I just being stupid?

Glad you like it so far! :)
Oh, I think there's an issue with identifying OGW, I'll look into it and will update accordingly if I figure something out. ;)

EDIT: Yep, figured out what's wrong, will work on reconverting and resorting the decks now, there might have been more stuff incorrectly sorted because of this. Will post an update soon. ;) Thanks for pointing this out! ^^

UPDATE (06/20/16): Reuploaded the full pack. Fixed an issue with Oath of the Gatewatch (and possibly some other sets) not being correctly identified when sorting decks. Also, updated the deck compatibility to SVN r31330, which reduced the number of unsupported decks by 40. It's recommended that you redownload the packs if you downloaded the version from yesterday.
Enjoy!

Re: MTGDecks.net Deck Lists - over 172800 decks

Postby Agetian » 17 Aug 2016, 18:36

UPDATE (08/17/16): Updated the megapacks in the first post of the thread, now the "all supported" pack contains over 172800 decks, the AI-playable pack features over 37600 decks and the "unsupported / partially supported" pack contains 1048 decks. The decks are sorted by set. These packs require Forge SVN build r32000 or newer. Earlier versions may not be fully compatible with some of the decks.

Currently known issue: some Commander decks are identified by the "Zendikar Expeditions" set while they generally belong to "Battle for Zendikar". This will be fixed in the next update.

Enjoy!

HUGE thank you goes out to Agetian for updating the AI-compatible deck list. An absolute necessity for Forge, and these are the only decks I play with. I prefer to keep every game different, so I always play with both CPU/player decks set to 'random user deck', with only AI-compatible decks saved to my forge directory. True, the AI isn't comparable to a real pro-tour player, but with the new AI updates from .52, Forge plays as well as most amateur players. which is perfectly fine for me.

Seriously, thank you so much for compiling these AI-compatible decks!

---------------------------------------------------------------------

I am wondering, when playing with the AI ready decks set to random for both player and CPU, does Forge pair the decks according to the T2 standards of the random deck or does it pick completely random decks from the stored/saved decks?

So far, it seems like it does pick 2 decks that are in the same T2 standard, but this may be me just getting lucky.

apologies if this isn't the best place to ask this question

Glad you're enjoying the pack, PikWik! Thank you! :)
As far as I know, Forge picks two completely random decks from the ones available.

These decks are well worth the download. Agetian has done splendid work! I did put ALL of them in the constructed folder. When I run Forge, I just do something else while waiting for everything to load. It takes approximately 10 minutes.

Playing these randomly is really fun!

With all of these decks transferred to my constructed folder, it does take 3-4 minutes to load on a fresh start. Although, I'm currently playing Forge on a SBC (Lattepanda 64bit) which has a 64GB SSD

UPDATE (10/03/16): Updated the deck lists to October 3, 2016. Now we have nearly 175000 decks overall, with over 37600 being AI-playable (tested against Forge SVN r32260). This update introduces an additional layer of grouping, now decks are sorted by set first and then, within the set, by the event at which the deck was reported to be played according to MTGDecks.net. Hope you enjoy this update!
