As am I. Fallen Empires storage lands may be bugged. I'm posting about it in the Bugs topic.

I created a deck that can win by lifegain. The core engine is inspired by Soul Sisters, of course - 12x 1-cmc weenies and Ranger of Eos with Felidar Sovereign. However, the StP allows for clever shenanigans on your own Pridemate at the end of an opponents turn to break that 40-life threshold and win the game. It has also often won by sheer weenie beatdown; O-ring and Path facilitate this route to victory.
3 Felidar Sovereign
4 Ajani's Pridemate
4 Serra Ascendant
4 Soul Warden
4 Soul's Attendant
4 Ranger of Eos
4 Swords to Plowshares
3 Ajani Goldmane
3 Elspeth Tirel
3 Oblivion Ring
3 Path to Exile
17 Plains
4 Flagstones of Trokair
3 Felidar Sovereign
4 Ajani's Pridemate
4 Serra Ascendant
4 Soul Warden
4 Soul's Attendant
4 Ranger of Eos
4 Swords to Plowshares
3 Ajani Goldmane
3 Elspeth Tirel
3 Oblivion Ring
3 Path to Exile
17 Plains
4 Flagstones of Trokair

Nice going, guys! Two fun decks so early in the challenge. I figured we'd all wait around for the last week or so.
I have a couple of ideas brewing. I really wish Forge had Contagion Clasp--it would definitely benefit a couple of those decks.

I was about to post my deck and realized that I have at least one card that's only in the SVN right now. I guess I'll wait to post it when the next Beta is out.

Infect-Stompy
Land(22):
16x Forest
3x Gaea's Cradle
3 Oran-Rief, the Vastwood
Creatures:
4x Llanowar Elves
3x Priest of Titania
4x Blight Mamba
3x Elvish Visionary
3x Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary
4x Cystbearer
3x Putrefax
Other spells:
4x Giant Growth
4x Rancor
3x Might of Oaks
3x Garruk Wildspeaker
The name pretty much says it all...This is a new twist on the Stompy archetype. Instead of trying to beat your opponent down from 20 life, you're trying to get them to 10 poison counters instead--which is very easy to accomplish with one swing in this deck.
The trio of Llanowar Elves, Priest of Titania, and Rofellos provide a significant mana ramp, allowing you to play Putrefax early, or a series of growth spells on your Blight Mamba. Combine that with Gaea's Cradle and Garruk for massive mana production. Oran-Rief provides a bit more bite to your infect creatures. If you find yourself struggling, Garruk's ultimate ability is almost guaranteed to finish the opponent off.
Elvish Visionary will help you draw into what you need as well as making your Priest of Titania more effective. It can also be used to chump block, of course.
Enjoy

Great thread! Here's my bit...
The idea is to get Vesner, the Sojourner out and control the board until you get the exile emblem. You can recycle instants and sorceries using Mnemonic Wall and eventually locking the opponent using Time Warp (or any variant).
Primary victory condition is library death by Jace, the Mind Sculptor. Alternate wins are Celestial Colonnade and Sunblast Angel (works wonders with Tumble Magnet + Vesner, the Sojourner)
I feel the 8 counterspells just works right. Overflowing chalice helps lighten up the mana curve load. I also tried to use newer cards for variety, but I'm sure there's more better alternatives to my choices, but well.
Since forge currently has no sideboarding options, I didn't worry much about other potentially worst matches and anyway, if you manage to get Vesner, the Sojourner to produce the exile emblem, every spell you play has "exile target permanent" and you'd be able to recycle your counter and removal spells via Mnemonic Wall.

I kind of wish Frost Titan was in the current version as it would really fit this deck well.60 Total Cards

Thanks for that! Now, I don't want to complicate things, but what about cards that are allowed as 4-ofs in Legacy but restricted in Vintage (like Brainstorm and Fact or Fiction)? I don't think there are any power-level concerns, but if it's just easiest to stick to Vintage-legal only, that's fine.psillusionist wrote:Awesome deck ideas by the early entrants!

It's probably just easiest to stick to Vintage-legal. Legacy bannings won't even let us use the power 9. We still have lots of awesome cards to work with despite the Vintage bannings and restrictions.

Well here's hoping that we get a new release this November. That's part of what I've been waiting for, before I make my deck. Been not happy with some of the errors in 'card finder' cards.
But if not, lots of choices of decks to make.

We would like to release a beta on Monday or Tuesday at the latest. Granted, there is a substantial amount of new work that has been added since the last beta. A lot of bugs have been found and fixed, but the new work will likely create a few new bugs for people to find.

As promised since the next Release is planned for tomorrow here is my deck for this challenge.
I call it Helixhaups. The goal is to get Braid of Fire/Helix Pinnacle fueling some major upkeep mana advantage. And Jokulhaups to keep the board clean.

Here's my take on the Turbo Fog deck. Wins by milling an opponent, while stopping anything they do with counter magic and damage prevention. It is a fun deck to play ... and wins with amazing regularity.
I hope you enjoy it!!!
