Chris, would love to see Mob Justice in that deck as another finisher

I'm not sure about tier 3. Without Broodwarden (of which there are only 3 copies) the deck has no attack power, it has no defense against flying and no removal. A single Serra Angel and three removal spells will take out this deck alone.Chris H. wrote:`Sloth wrote:An Eldrazi Spawn deck will also be fine (but it sounds more like it will become medium).
I think that I have a version here that will be at least tier 3:
- Betty Rubble 3 (or 4?) | Open
- [metadata]
Name=Betty Rubble 3
Deck Type=constructed

4 Birds of Paradise
4 Nest Invader
3 Brood Birthing
1 Pawn of Ulamog
3 Awakening Zone
3 Growth Spasm
4 Kozilek's Predator
3 Broodwarden
1 Dread Drone
1 Emrakul's Hatcher
3 Doubling Season
1 Essence Feed
1 Rapacious One
4 Hand of Emrakul
1 Mox Emerald
1 Mox Jet
1 Mox Ruby
4 Forest
3 Mountain
2 Swamp
4 Badlands
4 Bayou
4 Taiga

The AI is capable of sac'ing 4 Eldrazi Spawn tokens to pay the alternate casting cost for one of the 4 included Hand of Emrakul. The AI does not need to wait for 9 mana to get one on the battlefield.
We could replace the Pawn of Ulamog with a single Mob Justice.
Replace one of the three Doubling Season for a fourth Broodwarden?
The 4 Birds of Paradise can provide early mana and then block and die at a later point in the game. But I could replace them with Terror or some other similar card.
Or replace black with white. Replace the Birds of Paradise with Swords to Plowshares. And replace the two black creats with two Emeria Angel.

Ah, I didn't think about that. That's really nice indeed.Chris H. wrote:The AI is capable of sac'ing 4 Eldrazi Spawn tokens to pay the alternate casting cost for one of the 4 included Hand of Emrakul. The AI does not need to wait for 9 mana to get one on the battlefield.
I would say yes and yes.Chris H. wrote:We could replace the Pawn of Ulamog with a single Mob Justice.

This is not so important then, feel free to decide.Chris H. wrote:The 4 Birds of Paradise can provide early mana and then block and die at a later point in the game. But I could replace them with Terror or some other similar card.

I have a modified version of the Jack Sparrow pirate deck. I played against it a few times and it appears to work fairly well.
Initially I had too many non Island cards in the deck and we do not want the AI to summon a Pirate Ship without having an Island in play. I think it should be OK now.
Coastal Piracy is an interesting card when combined with creatures that are unblockable. I could not find anything else that would provide a nice benefit when an unblockable creature damages the opponent.
The extra card draw is kind of nice as it speeds up the deck and there are a number of fairly cheap cards to cast.
I kept the Spreading Seas as it is needed for the big ships to attack. I'm fairly happy with this revision although I do not know if this should be tier 1 or 2.

I would say medium, since it can really get some momentum with Coastal Piracy online.Chris H. wrote:I have a modified version of the Jack Sparrow pirate deck. I played against it a few times and it appears to work fairly well.

And the Spreading Seas can help to get to one of those Coastal Piracy cards.
I will also try to come up with a toned down variant for a tier 1 deck.

Two more decks need an overhaul I think:
Wolverine 3 - BG deck with Nightmare, Korlash, Heir to Blackblade and Kodama's Reach
This deck is focused on getting lot of swamps into play. Could be enforced a lot.
Silver Surfer 3 - G beat down deck with many creatures and several pump spells
Pump spells as a theme for an AI deck is generally not a good idea. Even though I improved the pump AI a little it's still really bad.

What do you think about static pumps like enchantments. The AI is using equipment better now. Will it use stat pump enchantments the same way?

I think the AI will just play them in the first main phase.Corwin72 wrote:What do you think about static pumps like enchantments. The AI is using equipment better now. Will it use stat pump enchantments the same way?
Edit: We have a dedicated aura opponent though: Elrond.

Here is what I started working on:

I like the idea! At least Hunted Wumpus and Iwamori of the Open Fist have some synergy. The best creature will be played after a while, leaving nothing dangerous. Nullmage Advocate is pure dissynrgy though.Corwin72 wrote:I thought a deck that would allow help the opponent out...

You can add black for Ostracize and Despise.
Another good addition: Tempting Wurm

I thought about Tempting Wurm but from what I can tell the AI will play it as soon as it can when it should actually be played in the late game when it's drawback will have little effect.
The idea of the advocate is that you are giving the player something when you blow up their card. Just like when you give them faeries for playing Hunted Troll.
I could add black but I did not see how that would add to the theme. I think that blue would be better so as to include the blue draw 2 for each player...

You know I'm not so interested in flavor, but in synergy. The drawback of Hunted Wumpus and Iwamori of the Open Fist will be lessenend, by playing lots of these cards, so they have synergy. Ostracize and Despise will help to completely ignore the drawback of these cards. Pair this with some removal for the permanents which slip through (and other spells?) and it becomes an interesting deck.
If you know you're playing against this opponent, it must be fun to stuff lots of uncastable expensive fatties in your deck to wreck him.
