Hehe I might actually go ahead and try my hand at building some of these, they sound fun :) Some would probably make interesting opponents for all tiers from Easy to Hard.

In our discussion we kinda forgot the community favorite, Derpy. :D Any suggestions for her deck? :)

Hmm, it's hard because Derpy's main characteristics is that she makes mistakes and messes things up.

You know what -- she could actually be good with a Goblin deck. Her work ethics seems similar to theirs :)

Hi everyone,

I was wondering... has someone recently ever tried to run a lot of duels of the AI quest decks (from main world) against each one another (with the automatic-dueling tool) ? Because I had the feeling some decks are either way too strong or too weak for the difficulty level and that it wouldn't take much efforts to adjust some of them (and I mean by that, just changing their difficulty level), if we could just list them from the strongest to the weakest.

If nobody had done this or anything related recently I'll try to do something and share my results here.

Also, related question : how do you usually evaluate the difficulty level of a new Main World AI deck ? Do you have some automated test or procedure, or do you do it your own way ? Because something I would like to have is a tool that would quickly tell me how tough my deck would be as an AI opponent in the Main World. More precisely : let's say I have an easy deck, how "easy" it is ? Is it on the tough side or on the weak side of the easy decks ? This kind of questions. Could be used to make some more tweaking then.

Same idea : if anything has been done I am interested, otherwise I'll start working on something and share it here.

For me I estimate it based on how quickly it can "get going" as well as the deck's mechanics once it does. Another measure is how threatening it is to players and how they can respond to it. For example, the Doctor Strange deck relies on Paradox Haze. It's slow to get going and the enchantment can be broken but once multiple instances of Chronomantic Escape hit the field then it becomes a stall war. Meanwhile the Waldo deck gets vicious once it plays Norin the Wary and Saltskitter with a couple of permanents, doing a lot of effects per turn.

Anyway my usual testing method is playing against it, using it in a Player vs AI match, and pitting it in AI vs AI matches

OK, in light of Hour of Devastation, Celestia should definitely also have Crested Sunmare :)
