Five Color Mess

Postby GandoTheBard » 22 Jan 2009, 09:27

One of my favorite archtypes for deckbuilding is the 5 color melting pot. You used to see this alot in Tempest block and some in Mercadian Masques too but the most famous deck of this type is called RecSur. This isn't RecSur but it is a fun deck nonetheless...You should have no trouble winning against the Computer with it but I wouldn't recommend giving it to the computer to play. The key idea here is to get a yore-tiller out and unblocked or a Reya Dawnbringer down and alive after delerium skeining a couple times. Elspeth helps with the Yore Tiller and eventually makes your guys Magus proof. Liliana is just reinforcing the graveyard recursion idea and the discard idea. The mana is a little funky but with 4 birds and 4 ingots plus 4 mox diamonds you should be fine. I decided against basics and land fetch instead going for multilands. Note that the deck is slightly larger than normal ...I just couldn't make the decision to cut out the final 2 cards. :)

Interesting, this deck features some cards I'd like to see tested some more :)
Like, Angel of Despair, I'll try to fix that one.
