OPT open?

Postby kburts » 24 Dec 2009, 05:30

how would the idea of an online play table open sound, to bring some people to OPT, and to generaly have fun.

but! I don't want to do this if jorbes does not approve.

anyhow, I am thinking of putting it up on MTGSal sometime, there is a bit T2 MWS open going on right now, so i don't really want to overlap that. But i was thinking:

Formats:
DRAFT! (would be SO cool! but unfortunately 8max)this is the one that I want to do most :)
T2 Standard (would be standard xD)
EDH (i really don't want to do this, but if everyone else wants to, i will go with it

input/support/dislike the idea?

Jorbes said he didn't want to go fully public until it was at a version he felt was good enough for everyone. He's got enough people testing the program as it is. :)

I've seen people mention it on MTGS and the threads don't last long. People don't like change, and that's fine with me. The quality of players found on MWS is rather low. XD

Invite some friends? :)

This "ghost town server" issue is only going to get "worse" when I release the server software, because then everyone will be running their own server hehe.

Irony?

I guess I could post on a forum like MTGS that i want to make a OPT Draft 8max open, giving my friends Dibz first :) I won't start it yet, because there is a big T2 open, and I don't want to interfere with that.

Yeah I saw that, no need to start something else.
Besides, might want to wait for the server software to be up first.

Just had xmass dinner and I might start typing 'if' 'while' 'begin' 'end' stuff later today.

Christ... what time? really?
Let's start with: What day.

On the train home I finished the new 'linker object' that now keeps track of aura's that are attached and so forth. Next I need to adjust the code so it will be easier to move equipment from one card to another and maybe even use drag and drop to attach stuff.

When that is done, I'm going to verify that the 'table rejoin' feature still works and activate it if needed.

After that, it will be at least wednesday, so I'm hoping for a 'last day of 2009' release.
