[OPT HelpDesk] OPT doesn't work? Check here

Windows 7
Problem:
I have discovered problems with Windows 7 when running a desktop theme that is not Aero. Switching to a classic theme (XP style/Windows98 style) or switching to a non aero theme might cause OPT to not load the graphics engine for OpenGL properly.
Solution
Delete / move (backup when desired) AndorraOGL.dll from the program folder.
This will force OPT to switch to DirectX for it's graphics. You may need to install the DirectX runtime, which can be found at:

would you be able to set the program to auto look for aero or else run DX?
or maybe check for DX, then check for aero, or else spit an error about it out?

Doubt it, I don't think a (non .net) program can access a user's theme settings.pinecones wrote:would you be able to set the program to auto look for aero or else run DX?

People should really use proper hardware with OpenGL support
My old laptop did support it, but my new one doesn't without installing drivers first. I guess having some system requirements isn't a bad thing, pretty much all other gaming software has demands for graphics card/cpu/memory
