I had to start a new hosting account on a new service today. I wasn't getting any responses to support requests to upgrade the account to the 50GB/month level. If they don't want the extra 15 bucks a year... oh well.
We're now hosted with unlimited bandwidth and space. Still pretty cheap service for the hosting market.
I hesitated at first back in December, but I'm now verified on Paypal, in case anyone would like to throw a dollar in the proverbial guitar case..

Thanks Rob. Will you raise the chance of downloading pics from cardforge.org again?

I know that, I implemented the configuration files... when I first put together a file structure, I made two versions, the first keeping all the things in place as much as possible, and the second sharing the data that's not version-dependent. Well, it seems that the first approach was taken and few users even know that file locations in forge are not hardcoded.Rob Cashwalker wrote:The pics folder is configurable in one of the preference files. So the better question would be what would it take for the configuration to be easily editable in the user interface.
I don't know how important that still is if you changed your hosting service, but I for my part think that changing the default configuration might stir the users' attention to the matter, and save them some Gigs of HD space...

I still don't know how all the configuration files work....
So if there's anyway to throw this configuration in the user's face, I'd be all for it. Unlimited bandwidth or not, it's a waste. There will be more data of other sorts the server needs to handle soon, so pics need to be curbed.
