CardPrinted get abilities?

CardPrinted get abilities?

I'm trying to figure out how to get the card's abilities when I just have a CardPrinted. Is there a way?
What I want to do is, for instance, given a Drowned Catacomb, find out what color mana it produces. Then the AI could decide whether to put it into his deck.
Perhaps that's beyond the intended abilities of CardPrinted, or maybe I'm missing something obvious. Thanks!
