These are definitely working and have a definite use.slapshot5 wrote:I think we should turn off the View Any Hand and View Any Library Enabled/Disabled buttons in Dev Mode because I don't think they do anything.
They used to be "show AI hand" or similar; I changed the format to "any library/hand" instead of "AI library/hand" for later multiplayer support.
As Chris mentioned, just click on the label and the list pops up, is the idea, but yeah, the check might not be implemented.

I didn't mean to sound like the viewing functionality doesn't work. That's fine. It's the buttons enabled/disabled that doesn't work. And I don't think there's any reason to enable/disable this is Dev Mode. I would be in favor of permanently removing those 2 buttons, and saying if Dev Mode is on, you can click on either player's hand or library to view it.
After all, that's how it worked in the old GUI. If Dev Mode was on, there was never a time when you couldn't view the opponent's hand or library.

All for it, the only question is how to flag that so people know this is available.
Maybe remove the toggle and change the text to "Click a hand to view" or something...but then that diverts from the expected behavior of the buttons in the devmode menu.
There must be a more intuitive way to do it. I'll roll it around in my head and see if anything pops out.

Has a date been proposed for the Big Release?

Yeah, the thing is though with both of those, the user doesn't know it exists until they accidentally mouse over it while in dev mode (really really good example of the evils of MMN here).
But yeah, it does light up, good enough for now (famous last words).
Looking forward to Friday then!

I have disabled the displaying of these two buttons. After the 1.2.0 release we can discuss more what to do with them. (There is no change in current functionality.)

Feature requests:
1. After playing a Constructed match, can the default end of game take me back to the screen where I can play again?
2. Similar for Draft - can we go back to draft screen when done with a match? Even better can we automatically play against the next AI player in the draft?
3. Can we have a filter to let us play random decks of the same format only? Example I would like to play Legacy BUG against random Legacy AI decks, not Standard or random 2-color decks, etc
4. When drafting can we make the default sort order Mana Cost -> Color?
5. When drafting can Forge provide deck stats? At a minimum this would include cards drafted at each mana cost.

I don't understand. Don't you just Restart on the little pop up thing and play again? The default action on that dialog is Restart too, so spacebar/enter will restart the match. Maybe I'm misunderstanding something?juzamjedi wrote:Feature requests:

Well, I'd like to reset the default action to "return to the main menu", since when I use random decks, I usually want new random decks for the next round. "Restart" is only neccessary for me when bugs appeared during the match.slapshot5 wrote:I don't understand. Don't you just Restart on the little pop up thing and play again? Maybe this is what juzamjedi meant?

Maybe. I disagree with this. I think the default action should be to keep playing. If there's several string opinions otherwise, I can make a setting.cc-drake wrote:Well, I'd like to reset the default action to "return to the main menu", since when I use random decks, I usually want new random decks for the next round. I think he's saying "Quit" should bring you back to the last sub-menu you were on.slapshot5 wrote:Maybe. I disagree with this. I think the default action should be to keep playing. If there's several string opinions otherwise, I can make a setting.

The other thing I'd like to do is promote the Deck Editor back to the main menu instead of burying it in Utilities. I think we're going to get a fair about of questions/confusion if it's not accessible from the main Home Screen. I'll do it tonight (CST) unless anyone strongly objects.

Like if you were on Utilities, it takes you back to Utilities?friarsol wrote:I think he's saying "Quit" should bring you back to the last sub-menu you were on.slapshot5 wrote:Maybe.
