File Name For The Clue Token Image
by Bog Wraith » 03 Jun 2016, 01:47
I've tried a number of the usual methods for naming the different image files I have for the Clue tokens generated in SOI, but all I keep getting is the Forge generic card image.
Can someone (Sol, ) please tell me what the file(s) should be named?

I haven't tested it thoroughly, but I've been working on putting the latest set images up for download and have found the following to work in the tokens directory:
- Code: Select all
c_clue.jpg
c_clue1.jpg
c_clue2.jpg
c_clue3.jpg
c_clue4.jpg
c_clue5.jpg
c_clue6.jpg

It works, but the only clue token that shows up is the one that is named c_clue.jpg. All the numbered ones have not as yet for me shown up in game conditions. At on time in a game the AI had 4 clue tokens on the Battlefield that were generated by a Tireless Tracker each time it played a land, but all the card images were of the same, the c_clue.jpg file.KrazyTheFox wrote:I haven't tested it thoroughly, but I've been working on putting the latest set images up for download and have found the following to work in the tokens directory:

I'm glad it works & have no problem with it like this, I just wanted to point out what I've experienced with them so far.
Thanks for your help, you Krazy guy you!

There are only six clues. Suggest leaving out c_clue1.KrazyTheFox wrote:I haven't tested it thoroughly, but I've been working on putting the latest set images up for download and have found the following to work in the tokens directory:

Anyway, each of the card text files needs a $TokenAltImages parameter. Has this been done in trunk, or do you need them?
Briarbridge Patrol is the only clue creating card not implemented (in beta release at least).

From testing it now for 2 days I've found that the c_clue.jpg is the one that should be removed. I've kept the jpg files "c_clue1-6" and they have all showed up while playing. This is what so far has worked for me, YMMV!Xitax wrote:There are only six clues. It's not that simple. It seems that coding for investigate cards is not consistent, which is probably mainly my fault. When I started working on SOI during the previews, it was some time before Wizards revealed that there are 6 clue tokens, so cards that were coded first didn't get them.
Cards that use c_clue and c_clue 2-6: Byway Courier, Confront the Unknown, Drownyard Explorers, Erdwal Illuminator, Fleeting Memories, Gone Missing, Humble the Brute, Press for Answers, Root Out, Survive the Night, Thraben Inspector, Weirding Wood
Cards that use only c_clue: Bygone Bishop, Confirm Suspicions, Daring Sleuth, Declaration in Stone, Expose Evil, Jace's Scrutiny, Magnifying Glass, Ongoing Investigation, Tamiyo's Journal, Tireless Tracker, Trail of Evidence, Ulvenwald Mysteries

You're right, I had a typo when I wrote my above post up. It should be the c_clue1.jpg that is removed, not the c_clue.jpg. Every once in a while the generic Forge image pic would be generated as a clue. It was in fact the c_clue1.jpg that was causing this to happen.Marek14 wrote:

Thanks for catching this & posting what versions are used for which card as it made me realize & correct my typo!

The naming scheme for tokens has changed. I think you want c_a_clue_draw.jpg, c_a_clue_draw2.jpg etc.TheOne1977 wrote:all the writings mentioned above doesn't work for me:
