Next beta, 2011 second release
The change file for the current SVN submissions is starting to get fairly long, so I figure that we should release another beta this upcoming weekend.

I'll bet. I'm in New Mexico right now, but I'll be back up in snow country in a couple days.Chris H. wrote:Thank you. I will try to get the beta up tonight or tomorrow. Now that the power is back on I need to catch up on a few things.
Does the SetInfo script not work for you? Just curious. It didn't used to work on a Mac, but I fixed that.Chris H. wrote:It looks like the power outage in my neighborhood is fixed. If someone does a last update to the set info I will use that revision for our next release unless someone can come up with a reason for holding off on this beta release.

Don't feel bad. I only have a high speed connection at the junior college and nothing at home. So yes it is fast but I have to put everything on a usb drive.Chris H. wrote:I do not have a high speed internet connection. I have a slow speed dial up through my local computer user group. I may well be the only person in the group that still makes use of dial up.
You should, it's great fun.mtgrares wrote:And yes I had a Commodore 64 with a tape drive but thankfully I didn't learn programming on it.
I learned how to program FORTRAN using punchcards. Pity anyone who dropped their stack of cards on the floor.Hellfish wrote:You should, it's great fun.mtgrares wrote:And yes I had a Commodore 64 with a tape drive but thankfully I didn't learn programming on it.I should still have a BASIC tape lying around somewhere here...
So many cards... so little time!!!`Jaedayr wrote:I learned how to program FORTRAN using punchcards. Pity anyone who dropped their stack of cards on the floor.
I used my iPod as a usb drive at the local Apple store to get a copy of the latest OS upgrade. Now they refuse to do so saying it is not supported. They want to burn a DVD instead. I wonder how much they will charge me?mtgrares wrote:Don't feel bad. I only have a high speed connection at the junior college and nothing at home. Thank heavens for 2 gig usb drives for only $4. Back in 2000 I used to slog around 10 MB files on a stack of floppies and darn it if a floppy occasionally went bad. Floppies were horrible because when you were writing to it, you couldn't tell it was bad, only when you read from it. Ooh the days of olde computing. And yes I had a Commodore 64 with a tape drive but thankfully I didn't learn programming on it.
